XBOX 360 - €179 [Dunnes Stores]

Dunnes Donaghmede had 9 xbox 360s this morning for €100. as far as i know its not the arcade version.

my sister was up there when the shop opened and bought 2, so i have a shiny new xbox waiting for me at home.

she said there was no one else up there waiting to buy one.

not sure whether any other dunnes were selling them this morning

I believe it for some reason, if id a spare few quid id jump in the car and head over and pick up 2 of em....

Trust me, i had my doubts about my sister, so i rang her and told her to call out what was on the box, and yep, as was advertised in store yesterday, they are original xbox 360's. she said it doesnt mention anything about it being the arcade version on the box so im presuming its the proper 30gig or whatever it is.

last night she was there shopping and told me they had a pallet of electrical goods which had a sign that said "all these products 50% off tomoro"

the xbox 360 was on a sheet of paper marked at 180€ after the 50% was taken off.

but when she got to the till and paid they were 100 a pop, so she bought two.

probably not because it sounds like a mistake in the donaghmede store. Someone's going to be in trouble methinks. Of course if i was online they'd just try to charge everyone full price and get sh!tty when people cancelled the orders (in my experience anyway - not of dunnes somewhere else) but they wouldn't have the gall to do it in a regular shop on the street.

Its cos it has no hard drive, you need a HDD to play on live.

My friend bought a core with me on Day 1 and I watched him playing on live on a memory stick for a good year and a half before he could afford a hard drive!

my sister just checked the boxes entirely and there is no mention of the word arcade on it at all.

Empty boxes in Galway TL store with a shelfprice of 360euro. Not arcade version. Was hoping to scan it on one of their instore barcode price readers but there was no barcode on the box. I didn't bother bringing it to a counter. Didn't seem to be any games with it.

I've just called Dunnes Stores in Clondalkin and they said that it's been reduced to €179. I guess they'll scan at the till for €100 so

ah glad to hear someone else got sorted. we have a ps3 in the house but no one really plays it. im more of a pc games man myself, cod4, wow maily. but im gonna pick up a second joypad later and see what shes like.

can anyone confirm if you can use a keyboard and mouse on the console?

my sister was first in the store this mornin and said there was no queue or anything, she was the only one buying, and we thought getting it for 180 was a bargain.
