From 17th August to 17th October all players that have registered or register up to the closing date for the IPO will be included in this offer.

Once you start to play on the site (raking through cash or tournaments) 20% of all rake generated will be added directly to the prize-pool on top of the €20k that BoylePoker are already adding.

Get registered people and start playing on BoylePoker :) ; help us to add all kinds of value to this tournament :)

Wait, I've been away for a bit but did I read right that boyle are adding 20k to the prizepool?

Adding as in, on top of what is generated through buy ins?

If that is the case, I will be registering today.

Adding as in, on top of what is generated through buy ins?; Yes they are adding 20k plus 20% off all rake generated by players that have registered and are playing on their site between 17th August and 17th October. There is going to be a counter up on the site in a few days starting at 20k and updating daily with every euro that is being added on top of the €162,000 prize-pool

If that is the case, I will be registering today.

    Hey,

Sorry about the late response. Was out playing football today and then got stuck in floods this afternoon which have stopped me going down to Ennis tonight (will have to get up early in the morning to make the trip )

As regards the highlighted part of the quote above; I've just read Derek's post on TheHendonMob forum. I'm not exactly sure what this is about at this stage. I will endeavour to find out as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Stephen.

P.S. We should be ok for dealers in Ennis (if anyone is looking for work please text me; 0872424626)... ... If we are really stuck I will take you up on your offer :).

    Hi Philip,

Marty Smith is confirmed.....Also confirmed are; Neil Channing, Surinder Sunar (said he would only play if Channing paid his buy-in :) ), John Duthie, Ian Frazer and a few more English players. I'm hoping Andy Black, Tom Hanlon and all the Irish legends will show up for the craic (and to try to win the tournament) too.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

By the way; did anyone see my post about Boyles adding 20% of all rake generated by IPO players up to the date of the tournament. I'm sorry but I think its a fantastic idea and unbelievable value. Why is nobody posting about it?

Got to say Boyles are really stepping up. That is a hell of a lot of value they are adding.
Obviously if I am in the country I'll be playing

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,705 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

to register - does one have to do it through the boyles lobby and if this is not possible - any other way?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 396 ✭✭eoin-dubh

lol.... i read your first post and got all worried, wanting to make sure this was sorted ASAP, but looks like Boyle's are on the ball! :) well done team boyle! :p now get to raking so the prize pool goes up and up and up!!! all set with accomodation? or are you a dublin head?

Also, another question for players.. at alot of these festival events there are sit and go's ranging from 50-500 euro a go usually, would there be much demand for omaha sit and go's? or need i bother designing a structure, given that most omahahahahaha players like their cash games?

To register for the tournament it has to be done via the boyle's lobby. Money can be put online via their website (sportsbook) or via the poker software (poker account). If you dont have a credit card you can deposit cash via any of the Boyle Sports betting shops around the country.

Have you been unable to deposit on the software?

    Hi all,

Great to see some more peops getting enthusiastic about this tournament. We've even got Bohsman on board now :p

    _____________

Just to clarify on the entry fee; it costs €150 to play in this tournament.

As far as I am aware now there are no players being allowed to enter without paying registration fee or anything like that.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Hey Carfax,

An Idea, Why dont you tape the final table with holes cards and all and get some poor art / tv students from DIT (augier St rules) produce and edit a programme for Viewing with comaterary and stick it up on poker tube!!

A couple of months ago i seen a thread about a couple of boys who built a full size table with hole card camera's and the lot!! See if they have it, could be the first step to go to a full broadcast next year!!

    Cheers

    Philip

Relax, you're flying, would I be right in guessing that you havent been at the 20% mark 2 months before any of the other events?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

yeah, didn't you only have 208 registered about 10 days before it last year?

We're in the process of doing up a type of blog on pokerireland.ie at the moment. The idea is that players can get on and upload their picture, tournament results to date and a bit of humour or a quote or something like that.

Do we think this is a good idea?, will it take off? Do you want to read about the players that are going to take part in the IPO?, Do you think players will want to have an idea of who they might come up against over the course of the tournament?
