Sighting around 6.30pm on Ballycullen rd(Scholarstown end) coming up the outside of traffic.
"Overtaking" is the correct word :D. Twas me, dying because my bag weighed a tonne and I'm still not 100% used to the new bike.

9:30 am, stopped at the lights beside Liberty Hall, heading east on the north quays, looking very streamlined on a Dawes road bike and wearing wrap around shades.

I don't know what the greeting protocol is when one doesn't have a horn to beep-beep, so I cracked a (barely perceptible?) smile and kept walking. :)

The guy on the PX in the park was probably wishing he had the Madone that passed him!

p.s. Only joking, I told him it was a nice bike. Many years of enjoyment to him.

Spotted a boardsie in Rialto early this morning. Gave the beeps (three friendly short pips right?) and got a wave, realised it was niceonetom. Caught up with him at the lights and we had a chat*

As we did el tonto rolled past, head down covered in yellow Assos looking determined. Said goodbye to tom and saw Emty heading up the same way (Dundrum Luas bridge presumably). Didn't manage the beep but I'm pretty sure he spotted me.

Hope you're all having a good one out there.

*Seriously tom, it is NOT a 4x4!!

I saw a boardsie with a training jacket/long sleeved jersey on Friday evening heading out the Rock Road. Twas past Blackrock and at the junction near Seapoint Ave, just before Monkstown. I was 2 cars back, gave 3 pips and am pretty sure I was ignored :(
It was a Focus Cayo (nice bike, btw :D) and that got me thinking - could that be Neiztchenannanzzaschhzzhan with winter clothes on?

Bah, that was me, sorry. I remember hearing the beep, but I only heard 2, so didn't think it was a Boarsie beep :(

Well, I was 2 cars back and it was more of a bip-beepbeep. I'll have to improve my technique!

'twas me! Sighted after only a month in the gear! I was out for a "swifty fifty" before dinner!

The beep was spot on and it was nice to get the encourgement. Went as far as Kilmoon Cross then headed back the "lumpy" way over Alpe d'Bellewstown:)

Ah yes some nice little "lumps" in the road around Bellewstown alright, they're usually the roads i got out on for a quick spin, great to see a fellow boardsie around these parts, don't feel so lonely anymore :)

Boardsie just off the rock road this morning between the Punch bowl and Tara towers. Off the bike and motorist taking your details ? Did I just miss a bit of excitement ??

That would be me and yes. I was in the cycle/bus lane a bit behind a Beamer who was signalling left to go into a side street. He turned left, then swung around in a u-turn and headed straight back out into the cycle/bus lane without looking/signalling. I hit the brakes so had scrubbed a lot of speed, but still hit the car and came off*. The driver in fairness to him was reasonable about it and admitted he was at fault and would pay for any damages.

*Is it wrong that as soon as it happened and the driver/passers by were asking me was I ok, that I was thinking 'Nevermind me, what about the bike?'

Possibly but I do the same thing! I got a nasty old hit from a car about a year ago and while I was lying on the road all I could think of was if my bike was going to be ok! It was thank god but I can't say the same for my rickety hip!

something that bothers me fairly constantly is how would I get the bike home if I spill and get carted off in an ambulance? I have visions of demanding the bike comes with me.......

Me too! Before I could do anything I phoned my other half and got him to come and get my bike. Only then could I think about going to the hospital :(
