In reality you hope you get good news and most other people get bad news, obviously there's nothing wrong with that as it's a competition and you want to win.

Anyone harbour any guesses or have any info when the 3rd aptititudes might be? The one's we do in person? I'm away a week in March (paddy's week) and am hoping with all my might that they're not held that week! I'm thinking i should be fairly safe, considering if the next stage has to be complete by end of 21st, i'd say the results of that will prob issue week of 9th March, then sitting aptitudes might be 2 weeks from that? Hopeful hoping....

Any Ideaaarrrrs?

We're all guessing at this stage with regards to the amount going through, when results will be sent and the time they'll be sent

All I'll say is that if people have to login to public jobs to access their results then it will be done at a time when people are in bed (eg: Midnight). If its sent straight to email addresses then they could be sent out at any time!!

They'll release the results via the Public Jobs site at night because if they do it during the day, everyone will check straight away and the site will crash

Not sure if that'll happen but I think that's what the poster means

And then if they are being e-mailed, they'll be sent anytime because it won't require us to all use one site

I get what you mean but don't see why midnight, the only correspondence that I got at night was the email to say applications had opened but that was only because it went live at a certain date e.g after 00:00 on 12th dec. rest of the emails I got were during daytime. Seen as the date for results is not specific I can see it being sent out at a reasonable time during the day, somewhat like the links for the tests which was before 16:00 on a day, but who knows.

It's going to be a long process for those who proceed through the various stages, so many different stages to wait for results for.

Could easily be starting in June. 1 stage per month and were looking at a June start

I know people who only got a few days notice.
Althou.. that was during accelerated recruitment. Im sure everything is being done now with great precision.

Well considering the BR checks come back clear and that can take some time if you lived outside of the state for a while.

One good side to been a GR my checks are complete, my medical would be in date considering it was only done last year.

I wonder will GRs that get in have to hand back there warrant card do students have warrant cards? If I get in I dread going back to the student epaulettes. Blue epaulettes you stand out like a chicken crossing the road.

Medical is only valid for 6 months.

Some of the BR checks done for reserves could have been carried out 4 years ago, a lot can happen during that time!! Reserves could however not be handed a new uniform

if it was anything to do with a serious crime/conviction within that period, a GR would be sacked
