I wonder will everyone get their results anyways, just to know what we got

  • Registered Users Posts: 502 ✭✭✭thestar

Wonder will it be a pass/fail or will there be specific results given out?

    From past experience of
Recruitment campaigns all you get is a letter to tell you that you have or haven't been successful

Its just time to pray now and hope we got the highest score but i think that's the wrong way to do it tho u could be good a tests dosent mean ur going to be a good garda

I know but I'm sure they'll be able to pick 300 good Gardai from those that progress.

It looks like the vast majority will fail now.

Even if you are lucky enough to pass there plenty more hurdles to overcome.

I can't wait to see who from this forum actually gets in

Since there is only one window it looks like it has been cut down big time, i'd say in the region of 7000 myself

I got a letter about a month later in 2008 giving me a breakdown of my results.

    I still have it

I'd say of the 25,000 that applied, around 12,500 will get through to the next online test, then 6000 will get through to the exam in the test centre, 3000 will get to the interview and they can pick there 900 Garda trainees for the next three years from that.

    Just my opinion

I would have thought the same but the fact that there is only one window shows to me that it could be less

Gotta say folks.. feel kinda unwell thinking its next week. I had myself all set for the end of the month and now its this week. Eeekkk.

I know theres nothing at all that can be done cause tests are done and that but still a bit nervous.

Only one time frame in which applicants complete their tests, during the last tests there was 3

I really think everyone will find out in the same 8 hours, I just hope it's Monday

Just home from work, I'm sick at the thought of the results! I will be devastated if I don't pass but to be honest I'd rather fall at the first hurdle than get to say, stage 4, and not get accepted. Fingers crossed and good luck everyone!! I hope we all get thru! :)

They mentioned 'BY' the 12th, that could mean anytime from now up to midnight on the 12th
