There is a trick I think, since I got it I started thinking about buying HD-DVDs

I think 5 left in the Wexford town Xtravision. Minus the one I got of course!

Quite funny the face on the guy behind the counter when he scanned it in and saw the price of it.

When I went across to Gamestop Blackpool today, the last one was "on hold".

Checked Xtra Vision Blackpool and MacCurtain St., no luck

Yeah I had that in Gamestop in Liffey Street this morning. The younger chap scanned it in and suddenly stopped what he was doing. He was staring at the screen unsure of what to do next. I could tell he thought it was a mistake and when the other chap who was there was finished with his customer he younger guy called him over.
He was trying to be discreet with the query and not let on to me that there 'might' be an issue with the price. It was quite funny.

Anywhoo they didn't have any but I got a colleague to pick one up for me out in donaghmede. Thanks OP.

any one know if anywhere in cork still has them at this price ? for 10euro how can you say no!
cant believe I was actually willing to put 150euro or whatever price it was when it first came out, but (luckly) was out of stock everywhere I looked at the time...

€10 is pretty great price. Got one in glenageary... seemed to be the only one they had... guy behind the counter had to brush the dust off the box and seemed a bit surprised at the price :pac:

Only regret now is buying one for €50 a month ago

The price drop in Xbox 360 + HD-DVD player = P*$$ed off customers.

That happens with every electronic good. It's just accelerated on the HD-DVD drive because it was on the losing side of the new gen of DVD.

The price drop of movies for HD-DVD = Happy customers.

Most of the people I know that have 360s also have some kind of media centre (PC or old Xbox or stand alone player) so whether the stuff comes on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray it makes little difference to them. That's the way it's going to go in my opinion.

There are none left in the xtravision in dundalk and in gamestop they have two but they are on hold for somebody .
Anyone got a spare one that they'll sell me at that price.

I connected the HDDVD player to the computer and it gave me the option to change the region of the player. If I change it to a region 1, do you think I could play region 1 DVDs on the Xbox?

Edit: Didn't work.

Thanks Hellboy99. I was just in Dundalk for the day so I thought id try there. I rang the monaghan xtravision and they didnt have any left. I could go to Carrick for one but that would be my only reason for going over there so its not really worth it.
Ill wait and see if Argos reduce their prices.
