I'm totally bricking it. No joke living on the coast when mother nature decides to freak out on us. Can look forward to:

No electricity for hours / days.

Flooding. Waves that the mental surfers will say "hell yeah" to.

No heating, sure it won't even be fit for to go out for a bucket of turf .

*Random animals such as sheep and donkey flying past window

*May or may not happen depending on severity of storm

Will be one for the books by the sound of it. How bad is it looking for the West any one know?

*Random animals such as sheep and donkey flying past window- baaaad weather.

I'm going to cosy up to the perfect storm tonight, just to get me ready!!

Your man on the weather forecast said that it'll have passed over the west by the morning.

If I have to walk to work in the rain I'm heading to RTE/Met Office and there will be trouble.

****. I'm meant to be flying to Italy late Wed night. Any chance it will have an affect or the flight be cancelled? I really hope it's passed by then.

Don't worry, it's on its way! Mad winds here in Galway (as always!) and I'm hoping to see some scumbag kids flying by before it heads to the east.

It's not really going to be much of an event. Windy yeah, but that's it. The worst of the winds will be south of us.

For some reason, when I was told there was a storm coming earlier I instantly thought of The Terminator, just for that last line.

They are wind speed's not mean wind speed's as a mean wind speed is the mean of the speeds given.

A hurricane start's at Force 12 on the Beaufort scale. That is exactly what is forecast for Shannon is SW Ireland. It seems that there is a hurricane warning for the shannon off SW Ireland coast.
