As you may know there is a serious storm threatening and due to dominate the weather for the next 2-3 days (a second front is following) so are you ready - is the satellite dish looking secure, is your roof going to survive 100 mph gusts? If I have to walk to work in the rain I'm heading to RTE/Met Office and there will be trouble.

They are wind speed's not mean wind speed's as a mean wind speed is the mean of the speeds given.

A hurricane start's at Force 12 on the Beaufort scale. That is exactly what is forecast for Shannon is SW Ireland. It seems that there is a hurricane warning for the shannon off SW Ireland coast.
