That first sentence could be misconstrued.

But yes, it makes me feel better to show you my "thing"!

I promise I'll buy you a drink in Queenstown when I'm down in July/August to make it up to you!

    I'm jealous of that.

    Very jealous.

Don, how long are you going for, and would you be able to bring me back something.

It can only be got in NZ, and it's something which I love dearly.

I plan on being round those parts at the end of August/ start of September as well.

Not sure if we'll be able to source cans of Carnation down there or not though.

I'm pretty sure you can get them there. My OH has some cookery book that all kiwis love and there's a recipe for banofee in it.

Ler us know when you're down that way anyway. I'll be at Queenstown probably mid aug.

Not at all. It takes just a touch more planning on organising meeting up for a pint 11,000 miles away.

11,616 from Dublin to Wellington - I checked!

Must be about 12,000 miles to Christchurch.

Honestly I don't think I could move further away if I tried!

I'd love if an NZ beers happened. It'd be some achievement!

What do you mean "if"!!!! It's on!!!!!!! :D I presume we'll all still be using this bastion of drunken debauchery whilst abroad so it'll be easy enough to sort once there. :D

Well, my flights were €850, one way, and I'm going the cheapest time of the year and booked them 6 months ago so yes, you should get the money for the flights soon!

I just "calculated" it as 19020 km from O'Connell Bridge to the middle of Stanley Street, Queenstown with a little help from Google maps.

Must stop faffing about on the interweb now and leave.
