Just had very light sleet shower there. Looks like the showers are barely making it down here. Funny - temp up to 4.1c

had some rain/sleet/snow all mixed in together a while ago, blue skys and sun again now tho.

Met Eireann are sayin that a band of rain will cross the country on sunday but turning to sleet as it does so and more wintry showers packing in for monday.

Yeah im sure Central and Sothern England have a better chance of snow then the bulk of Ireland. I think the UKMO generaly like to ramp these things up. There wont be anything like 5cm in Southern Engand either with temps ranging from 2 - 5C and positive dewpoints. Besides the GFS shows that trough further west. I would not take that too seriously for now.

Yes that front is getting sqeezed to death by cooler air each side of it:

Could be an interesting day, especially for the Central/Eastern region.

Also I think there could be a bit of troughing, possibley, tonight, which would increase the chances of the eastern side of Ireland getting some snow tonight.
It is all so unnerving. Light snow shower just started here again.

are you the person that's living nearly 2,000 foot above sea level?

True. Just see what suprises this brings. I wouldnt be suprised if a fair few places had a good coverin even later on today/night with some hefty showers merging.

BTW that net weather radar must be faulty showin more precip down South that was missin earlier.

I've noticed that too, it seems the radar covering the southern half of the country only updates at 15 minute intervals.
