Smurph is gone JP, very UL there smurph - all you can do is get it in ahead. WP tho!

    Murphy bows out
A brave Colette Murphy has bowed out of this year's Irish poker championship in 21st place. She recieved a generous applause from the assembled crowd upon her exit. She was the highest female finisher, a distinction she has become familiar with so often in Irish poker tournaments.

The hand itself was an all-in pre/flop confrontation with Brian O' Connell who called her all-in with Kc Qc . Colette flipped . Ah Kd

The flop was were the trouble came for Murphy.

    Kh 6H Qh

She did have outs along with her ace including a live flush draw.

The turn and river of 9d 7s brought no improvement and Colette Murphy bows out.

Keiths been chip leader from the start really, would be some performance to take it home
I'm liking my action on Ciaran O'Leary at 33-1! He has been playing great for months since winning his WSOP bracelet in the 5th largest live tournament in history, and is really focused in here.
Misses O'Leary welcome back, you should of shopped around you could of 80/1 with paddypowers at the start, Ciaran must have a great chance now. For me Jude Ainsworth or Bryan O' Connell look to be top players, expect an early clash between Ainsworth and McCool

Hard luck Smurph, but very well done too. You get it in good so often that it's only a matter of time before it clicks and you make a really big score (although you're probably sick of hearing that!).

Thanks for all the nice comments, pretty gutted with the exit hand to be honest, but those are the breaks. and in fairness I did get a Jack on the River to save me on the feature table...

It wasn't a great table to be sandwiched between Ciarain O'Leary and Michael McCool for the day and being completely card dead to boot. The tv table was nerve wrecking to say the least and to be honost I spent the first 20 minutes trying not to faint..

    Picture the scene
Padraig: Michael McCool has moved all in with 57 offsuit
Jessy May "Oh My God Padraig is the man insane"

Padraig: Ciaran O'Leary is going into the tank, thinking of calling with pocket 8's, it would be a brave call, but if any many can put this together he can.

Jessy May: Oh Jeeese it looks like Colette Murphy has just fainted and head butted the tv table!!!!:eek:

Played 2 hands like a muppet, but overall happy enough. I nursed a 4.5K stack for most of day 2 and then doubled up on the last hand of the night. AcKc V AdKd got my flush on the turn to have me up to the dizzy heights of 12,375.

The experience was something else, Michael McCool is fearless and Ciaran O'Leary is a class player aswell.

All you can do in tournaments is try to get your chips over the line ahead.... although I am beginning to hate AK AQ...

    4780e7e181006.jpg Anthony O'Callaghan

    Silke gets unlucky

A raise from Silke, then an all in from Anthony O'Callaghan for 134,000 which is immediately called.

    ac.gifks.gif for O'Callaghan
    kd.gifkc.gif for Silke.

O'Callaghan hit's not one but two aces on the flop meaning Silke is drawing completely dead as the case King still would have given O'Callaghan a bigger full house.

    The Dubliner now has 285,000.

    Take it down callo:)

    Ahhh fck!

    Anthony O'Callaghan eliminated

Anthony O'Callaghan moved all-in for 140,000 and was called by Keith McFadden.

    {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for O'Callaghan
    {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for McFadden.

No help on the board for O'Callaghan and he is out.

Is that the same Trevor that blew up in the Irish open this year after folding KK, only to be shown JJ?
