Are they for real? Don't tell me this is actually an animated series. Cos if it is, The Unit can go sh1te.

Animated animals, toy dolls, lads, we've gone a few steps too far past toy guns and dressup, it was a slippery slope that you should have dug your heals in on!

DrPepper is mad into that ****, and showed me that trailer a few weeks back.

The part where your man slings his rifle and draws pistol on the mule sent me into a raging fit of laughter and shouting " awesome" at the monitor.

Looks very amusing indeed. Plus the added fact I've no idea what any of the characters are saying makes it all the better.

But seriously its not going to take over the Unit. I think I've literally learned all my airsoft tactics from that show....hankering for a VFC 416 here...The Unit makes PEQ boxes cool.

    Edit : 1:58...AWESOME!!!!!11

if your talking about putting them back in place, a little grrease helps hold it in place;)

That was one of the first things I had to figure out when dismantling my AEGs last year for the first time. I recommend a long thin screwdriver resting on the anti-reversal latch and a weight. Holds it in place while you reassemble everything else. A stiff wire can do that too.

all sorted now ,first time in 3 mechbox openings ive had problems with the reversal latch ,
    :):)

deal-extreme.com, button magnets, holds everything in place, 2 quid.

There ye go, I usually just give the anti-reversal latch a stern look to keep it in place, but I'm a very talented airsoft techy guy, with skillz, not regular aul skills, so the magnets might suit you guys. :D

a glimpse at your ugly mug is enough sam
to keep anything in place :)

    :P fix that g3 yourself!

I dont know what the big deal about the anti reversal latch os, took my mechbox apart for the first time yesterday, put it back together, not a problem! The latch was quite well behaved for me. The cylinder and spring caused the only hassle.

And as far as Cat S*** One Goes, maybe we should all keep a closer eye on our pets. And on a similar not, anyone see the south park episode with the guinea pirate? Classic!

with some latches that arn't as well seated as others they can pop out. my solution is to insert th latch and turn the bevel gear until its engaged with the latch as it does during normal operation. this is usually all thats required to keep it in place for the 2 seconds needed to close the gearbox case.

Which would work except that neither the case nor the anti-reversal latch (usually) is made of a ferrous metal, so it's not magnetic. The odd time you get a ferrous AR latch, you still only have an attraction area of about 3mm^2 so you'll need one that will attract through the case. A magnet strong enough to do that will probably have a relative strength of about 10kg, so those button magnets aren't worth a toss.

I get my magnets from Super Magnate. They're a German crowd, fast shipping and with good prices. I've gotten plenty off them for various projects, tools and even for storage.

I made a tray for holding gearboxes that has a series of magnets placed in it of varying strengths for holding different gears and screws. Works a treat, saves lots of time. Just drop the case on the frame, drop the gears into the case and close it up, then disengage the magnets and drop the case out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,758 ✭✭✭Stercus Accidit

Well then, people will just have to work on their stern looks then wont they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,614 ✭✭✭Toasty113

Indeed!!! (looks of in the distance sternly)

Hey anyone got a drum mag for a G36? If so whats it like and what make is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,287 ✭✭✭kevteljeur

This is all getting very on-topic. Anyway, I removed the anti-reversal latches from my mechboxes. I use stopped fly sprockets which cost a couple of bucks but you can re-assemble in seconds while holding the whole thing together. Get 'em for the trigger springs too.

Of course, there's that trick for holding the spring with the piston in while increasing fps and rps...
