    Hi Stephen,

I'm trying to tout this around the job and get some people interested. I've told them that they have to set up a mermaid account but one question keeps popping up that i'm not sure of the answer to.

If they set up an account, do they have to set up a real money account? You're doing a bit of travelling around and sorting people out so if they get the money to you before deadline day, is having an account open enough or do they have to deposit into it?

Sorry if you've answered this already but i havent seen it anywhere. Thanks

    Hi Tony,

Its a good question. All players must open a real money Mermaid account. Because winnings will be lodged into each player's account (no conditions to play a single hand of poker but we would like it if you do) and unless you have lodged your buy-in you will not be able to withdraw.

Any players that want to lodge with cash simply have to email me, money can be transferred online into my bank account. stephen@pokerireland.ie

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

An account with mermaid takes 5 mins to create, obviously you have a computer as you are online here.
There are a number of ways to deposit the cash.
    1. Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, etc)
    2. Bank Transfer, to either Mermaid or Stephan
    3. Moneybookers
    4. Neteller
    5. Paysafe Card
    6. Click to pay/Click and Buy
    7. Cheque/Bank Draft, this option may not get through in time

Lads the support you are all giving is absolutely fantastic.

Just one thing to add to Mellor's post here - Moneybookers accept laser card.

If you want to pay with cash all I will be doing is emailing you with pin numbers for paysafecard.

    Cheers.

Deadly I'll be onto this by friday. Moneybookers seems cool no charge on laser transactions. Funds are how you say ...... in transit.

    This is from an email from the Director of one of the biggest European poker sites (poker.pt);

"I think You'll need to teach Portuguese to your dealers, cause there's about 70 portuguese players that have plans to go to Dublin in that weekend :-)"

moneybookers is the best option for laser....you can also use moneybookers

English only at the table please

I presume that if there are a published set of rules available this will be included. Actually, on that point, will there be a published set of rules available?

I doubt it has been switched, most laser cards are maestro cards as well. Both of mine are anyhow.
