    Last reg is 30 th at GMT midnight......

    HOWEVER... the cancellation of the tourney needs to be done manually so please dont leave it to last houer if you intend to reg, they can cancell it 23.00 just as well as 24:00 but have promised me to do it as close as they possible can but: night between 30 and 1, entire network are swoping from dollar to Euro so this is a tricky night. They start the changing 23.30 so my very strong hunch is that IPO reg close around 23:00 instead of Midnight.

    so if you intend to reg, just do it, dont wait to sunday night.

    and also remember its GMT ... 3 days 13 hr so so left now!

    463 registered and paid in full right now. 3 and a half days of registration left.

    Guys I should point out that you can add 80 to 100 players to this number right now as we are making a special arrangement on Mermaid for French players (and French players only) to pay their buy-in.

    I think we might actually have a chance of breaking the record of 708 but we need players to get behind this tournament and GET REGISTERED!

    " if the prize pool reaches 100,000 would we consider capping it and allowing free entry to those less well off" ????

    That just made me laugh out loud. Must try that in a music store. "I hear this band have sold 100,000 copies. Can I get it for free now?" :D

    Music Ireland have a huge conference on the same day as the IPO in the RDS by the way....If anyone is interested (and gets knocked out of the tournament) there will be a drum teaching session going on and lots of other activity.

    They sell them North of the border at any paypoint outlet....They're not available in the Republic but you can try this site if you want;
    https://www.wertkartenverkauf.com/

    Its where I was buying them.

    Mermaid have lots of different deposit options too.

    Questions like these make baby Jesus cry;

    'Hi there is it possible to pay cash on the day to enter your tournament' :D

    Stephen I was talking to a lad here in work and he was about another dozen people to register
    Also, there was a bit of interest in JP's game in the Silver Granite last night.
    There was however, a few of the 'I'll pay on the day' variety :)

    Cheers for that, the more people that know about it the better....JP was telling me that a lot of his players are saying that but he's told them otherwise....They obviously don't know how stubborn myself and Derek are.

    ______________

    PLAYERS;
    YOU WILL NOT GET IN IF YOU TURN UP ON THE DAY WITH CASH IN YOUR HAND.
    WE JUST HAVE TOO MUCH INVESTED (TIME AND EFFORT MOSTLY) IN THIS TO CHANGE OUR MINDS AND TAKE CASH. GET IN AND GET REGISTERED NOW.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,512 ✭✭✭stevire

    Any word on the parking facilities yet?? Can we park in the RDS or is there anywhere nearby? Also, whats the max number of players allowed to move on to day two in the Jackpot?

    actually its 5 1 3 now
    thats 87,000 smackerooneys

    not to be sneezed at

    a guy calls me this evening, i know him very well

    he asks whats the story about day 2 of this event
    i ask
    why would you be interested, sure even if you play day 1, what are the odds of you making day 2
    he laughs out loud
    seriously he says, whats the story about day 2
    i say
    i was being serious

    funniest question i was asked so far is
    if i make the day 2 part, where are you putting us up, i.e. the 4 seasons hotel or somewhere nice?

    another 1
    "about food, have you considered that some of us are vegans ? and what sort of food will we be getting"?
    i replied
    "hmmm, no, its the international open, not the interplanetry open
    now go back to vegas or vega or wherever that place is"
    i couldnt resist it, after a long day
    if the guy is reading this, i apologise
    if he isnt, then i dont

    was i wrong, probably,,,,so i apologise again, but i cant help myself
