Whats the story with this particular model of Seat lads? is it in any way comparable to the Fiat 124 in performance and handling, clearly its based on it .
we had a 124 many moons ago, brilliant driver for its day.

    Regards rugbyman

The Seat 124 is NOT abandoned, it is mine. It was actually my daily driver until last October, when some idiot tried to steal it and messed up the wiring for the lights and signals (so please no jokes about towing it, it makes me nervous).

It is, however, for sale. I intend to post it on done deal soon. Feel free to gimme a call at 087 9905282. It turns over and has spanish papers in my name.

    Cheers
I would strongly suggest that you put it somewhere safer in the meantime.
I could easily disappear legally or otherwise, if it goes legally you'll get it back at a cost, the other way some guy will get €100 for its weight in metal.

Early models identical except for the SEAT badges instead of FIAT (both mean the same in different languages - Company Spanish/Italian makes cars (loose translation ). The LADA started off the same but always had a different engine OHC v's OHV . Both SEAT and LADA got 'square' noses on the next series.

Id like any of the trio but if given a choice it would be the fiat all day long.

A 124 ? Then all you'd have to do is change the badges on the SEAT  , nobody could tell the difference on the early ones apart from maybe a bit more chrome on the SEAT version AFIR ;)

Spotted this Volkswagen Beetle today in Keary's Renault, hardly just abandoned in Keary's,but, clearly not a daily driver.

    An American Beetle I believe.

1303 convertible - surprised nobody's doing anything with it
I'm sure a phone call to Keary's would solve the mystery :) Pity to see it left like that seeing as there's mechanics passing it every day ?

Spotted in underground car park in Sicily. Gotta believe there is a good story behind this car!

Anyone see any Citroen CX's abandoned? need a few bits to finish off my one. Especially need a tiny bit of plastic out of a diesel engine bay.

This week outside Dungourney Co. Cork. A Triumph Mayflower, a Saab 96, a couple of Renault 4's and an old Land Rover (not in the picture) next to a house. There were a couple of vile purple coloured Talbot Sunbeam's too but I didn't think they were worth photographing tbh. :)

Classic case of a hoarding dreamer.

Fortunately for that car its less abandoned than I taught, went to see if it was for sale today and its gone so I can only assume its in some sort of use.

    True.......

There may be some useful bits of trim in good nick in that Ghia, even got the side indicators that were not on Irish & UK cars.

They're like Fiat side indicators - usually only on Italian models, but in conjunction with white front indicators so maybe jusy added here

If it's ZPI then maybe the last of the MkII's because it also has Ford spot lights too so maybe Ford were clearing the parts bins in prep for the Mk III ?
