    i only seen this thread now so here is a 11lb 9oz bass i caught on line and spinner in courtown in wexford on the 30/08/2008 and wow what a fight he put up i kept him and got him stuffed and and have him in a glass tank its not a good picture because i only scanned it but you get the idea

    No fly fishing in the pool that that fish is in the pic was taken last year.The camera is under overhanging rock,to the right is a vertical rock wall and on the left is 3 story stone ruins,straight ahead is a 6 foot drop to tidal water.

    brown trout videos are from last year. seatrout vids are from over 4 years ago. salmon ar from last year and before.

    Speaking to the locals its nothing on what it used to be 20/30 years ago, most of the older guys look at me like I'm mad when they see see me with the trout rod.:)

    No, half the loch is peat bog and the other is rocky. All fairly peat stained with a lot of algae.
    There are normal coloured browns as well. A nearby Lough has these silver fish as well. I thinking its down to diet. Another unusual thing is the fish are thought to spawn in the loch. No suitable in-flowing streams and only one outflow which is little more than a drain.

    lovely trout, very silvery, a bit like the lough carra trout alright. no red spots on him at all. also looks like the sonaghan from melvin.........
