    There was a guy, early in Season 1, who complained of a rash. It was, IIRC, when they were setting up the golf.

    He has since been killed off, IIRC, by Ethan.

    AFAIK the writers of Lost don't do throwaway comments - character say things for a reason.

    hmmm must look into that one now when i go home, can't remember ethan doing anything like that except to Charlie

    My mistake - he wasn't killed off by Ethan - I was confusing him with Scott/Steve.

    The character's name was/is Sullivan and I don't remember him being featured since.

    Episode 109 Solitary - open link above and do a find on 'Sullivan' - he featured a bit in that episode.
