I posted my gear somewhere at the start of this thread but never got around to posting a pic - so here's my baby - vintage 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline. Mine is a bit battered, not as shiny as the one here but you'll get the idea.

Just realised I never replied to this! :D:D

Personally, I would be wary of having a heater beside the kit. Not due to physical body temperature, more due to the effect of continual expansion and contraction of the drum shells. I'd be afraid of the shells developing slight cracks over time. And with several plys hidden you don't know what damage could be done without being able to see it. Just my €0.02.

The newest addition to my family finally arrived yesterday. :D
It's a Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro. A mahogany body, with flame maple top and ebody fretboard. 24 frets, and a beautiful emerald burst finish.
It sounds absolutely gorgeous, warm and yet crisp clean tone. Crank it up with a bit over overdrive and it sings!
The 3-way pick up selector combined with the coil tap gives up to 9 different possibilites, each with a unique sound.
I love this guitar to bits already. :D

....p.s. thanks to Doctor J and Dabhoys for all their help and advice. Cheers lads

Never under estimate the eggles. There class works :) if you put a JB and 59' in there you'll be laughing. It looks like it has a maple cap top on it too. Can't beat the ebony fretboard. I'm hoping to add an eggle to my collection in the near future :p

Dabhoys, you don't swap pickups out until you've heard what's in it already, I thought you learned that recently?

Zoton, just back from holiday, glad to see you made the right choice. Congratulations man, I hope you have many happy years with that guitar.
