Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So it's Friday. I'm considering a raid on Dealz for specific chocolatey things. Those that reassure you. Those that hug you inside.

Waiting on my OH to give me a lift up to Blanchardstown hospital where I have some tests at 12.15pm.

Hopefully nothing to worry about - my sleeping was very poor over the Summer months and my GP referred me for some sleep/respiratory tests to determine if there are issues with breathing/snoring/sleep apnea etc.

Best of luck Jupiterkid , hope they can get to the bottom of it for you .

Coffee break time , the sun is shining here , well on one side , the other side is dark clouds :pac:

I hope it's not too serious, Jupiter, it's a killer not getting enough sleep.

I'm tableside and coffeeside, bored and sick to death of this damn year.

Good luck. I would be interested to see how you get on.

I've been alerted to very bad snoring by my new gf who cannot sleep in the same room as me. Have tried snorelab the last 3 nights and having viewed the data and listened back to the recordings and would say I'm definitely triggering some activity on the richter scale :o

Going to do a GP consultation next week. Averaging 3 hours snore time in just over 7 hours sleep the last 3 nights. Having read more it goes a long way to explaining why I do be incredibly tired some days.

My sister in law went for the sleep test before March , resulting in her now having a sleep apnoea machine (or whatever they're called) to use at night . She said the difference is amazing, not constantly tired in the morning, plus it tells you how many times during the night your breathing stops (or not) due to snoring etc .

Dont take that forum literally. Its littered with weather-a-holics. MT is sound, a lot of the others just want to make snowmen :D

Is your house anchored to ground rock ?

Will Jacob have the sense to stay indoors ?

    Stay safe

Kitchenside, prepping a cottage pie and trying to ignore the migraine that telegrammed it's arrival 2 days ago when my face went numb. No painkillers so gotta tough this one out.

Good luck with the tests, Jupiter

I can never understand people who literally get aroused at the thought of a storm or snowmaggedon.
We were badly impacted by Storm Darwin in 2015 and had some serious damage to an out building so I never want to see any kind of aggressive weather again.

Reading your post Grace has made me realise two things:
1, I love the name Jacob. It's such a great name!
    2, I would love a Jacob's kimerbly biscuit.

I'm couchside with butter chicken marinated in the fridge for later. I'm drinking sparkling apple juice with ice and mint pretending it's a mojito but it's like.. hey barkeep! Where's the hooch?!

I had a great day few hours work, 2 hour walk with my friend, takeaway coffees and picked up some groceries, couchside now with wine ( my first this week, ring the doctor lol), heating on but it was lovely and warm here today. Chicken burgers and chips for later, coleslaw, taco sauce/mayo and whatever else they want on them, I'm not cooking anything else, looking forward to a totally chilled weekend regardless of the weather.

Catching up on the thread here at the kitchen table and at the laptop.

Films, be they feature length or short. Be they well funded or micro budget. If they are grim in a reality sense, they are doomed no matter what market they get released in. People still enjoy fantasy horror despite some of the ground breaking films being frowned upon and banned 40 odd years ago. Things have changed enormously yet they haven't changed because certain subject matter is still not accepted on screen. Horror films are still routed in gore/ghosts and fantasy stories. Any attempt to address certain aspects of society in a "horror" sense are derided.

I made a short film 12 years ago that depicted a tragedy that was happening for years. The same tragedy is happening this week and last week. People will read about it, but do not want to see, as someone else said on the thread, "the visuals". I was frowned upon and verbally attacked at screenings for making it. Nobody was comfortable watching it. It didn't fit the narrative, yet it did. Finished me off in filmaking terms.

Just thought I'd share a little part of my life this evening re the earlier chat.

I thank you for sharing that and I am intrigued by it.Is there anywhere to view it or know what it was about?

Pleasant enough day, migraine notwithstanding. My mood has certainly improved and I'll take a migraine over that any day. Even managed a stroll with Grumpy. Been watching Barbarians on 'Flix. It's nonsense but the long haired beardlies are a very pleasant distraction. Time to feed my purry mammals and I'll pop out to look at the moon. Hope I don't start howling.

No the moon definitely impacts on people, sure isn't that where Luna-tics comes from.

But its beautiful, hoping the clouds don't appear for tomorrow's blue moon.

Not at all but from a shepherds pie with turkey gravy from my housemates girlfriend. I'm traumatised by that slop and then having to lie about how good it was. I really am annoyed with myself.

Nursing a hangover and tiredness after 10 cans of Guinness last night

Spent the day eating junk food, got absolutely bored out of mind so went for a stroll and bought a book and ate takeaway mc ds

Then came home, had a nap and went back out and bought vape liquid just to get of the house

Watched a bit of tv and now listening to Lex Fridman podcast and just sitting in my bedroom with headphones
