I take screenshots of my drafts, find it useful to keep track of them.

Same. It's funny looking at them from years back with no context wondering why the hell was he in that team!

I do it weekly with transfers etc ha ha!

This is the Free Hit thread
So i would advise playing FH chip

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,387 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

FH actually wouldn’t be a bad option with that team, those injuries might clear up and you’re well set for 33 I think

    Bennett needs to go though

    Keeper problem here.

Currently have Ryan but don’t really want him.

My preference is for the Palace keeper but I can’t be 100% confident which one will start.

Guaita had a run but didn’t play against Burnley, which they won 1-3, but came back in for the game against Brighton which they lost 1-2.

    So I think it’s definitely a gamble.

Anyone with further insight to the Palce first choice keeper situation ?

I’d be sick to gamble and get it wrong. Maybe just play safe with Ryan.

    Would you consider Foster?
Watford have good fixtures and if we knew any outfield players were getting 120mins we’d be all over them. Foster does well on save points and could have a CS in the other. I should qualify that by saying I have Brighton and CP x2 defence

    No.

It’ll be Palace or Brighton for any cheap defence and in that order too.

Guaita flapped at one of the crosses that led to them conceding in FA cup game. I read a CPL fan say he thought Hennessey was better suited to physical sides but vast majority prefer Guaita. Its hard to understand why Hodgson rotated for that game though.

    I'd stick with Ryan, 3 x doubles, 4 of those 6 games are SOU/BOU/CAR/NEW, with che/tot the other 2.

He played Hennessey against Burnley because he thought the Welshman would cope better with Burnley's aerial threat.

    Going with this for now

    Foster
    Schlupp, lindelof, Dunk
    Sterling, delofeu , milli, Pogba
    Aguero, Higuain, Kane

Midfield looks light, but no midfielder excites me other than Sterling

Do you think Duelofey will actually play twice?

No idea. Will see closer to the weekend what the rumours are.
Same could be said for a lot of my team

The rumours are Watford and Wolves players are going to be heavily rotated due to the FA cup semi final.

Is it crazy to go 5-3-2 this week?
    Foster

    Laporte Luiz Lindelof Duffy Schlupp

    Pogba Hazard Sterling

    Aguero Kane

Anyone care to rate this? 102.8 ITB to spend

Very similar to mine. I’ve Tompkins and Dilva for your Luiz and Laporte

    I’m down to

    Team A
    Foster
    Duffy-Schlupp-Lindelof-Tompkins
    Sterling-Pogba-Hazard-Dilva
    Aguero-Kane

    Or

    Team B
    Foster
    Duffy-Schlupp-Lindelof-Luiz-Azpi
    Sterling-Pogba-Hazard
    Aguero-Kane

The second team gets a higher rating on FFS

    Thoughts?

Obviously Azpi could go to Laporte

Not sure about the no Chelsea/City defence in Team A.

Don’t think I’d be going 5 man defence on a Free Hit either.

Like your front 5 though. Would you not consider Martial over Pogba and invest in a 4th midfielder?

No, I think Pogba is much better value, I got him for 7.9 so there’s only 1.2m between them for me.
I struggled to pick mids in that mid range bracket, Martial didn’t even come into the reckoning TBH

Traditionally defenders do well on DGWs but it’s a very boring team, basically the same players as everyone.
I fancy CP to get a clean sheet so I’m not too upset about avoiding city and Chelsea CSs because I think they’ll need both to better them. It’s hard to put back to back CSs together, Chelsea have done it once this season. City have gone on two great runs though.

I like the Dilva pick, it’s probably the last time I’ll ever own him

Looking at my whole team - it revolves around Lukaku being fit as the only replacement I’d want is Kane and to accomdate it would mean moving

    Batusahyi to Millojevic
    Pogba to Rashford
    Azpil to Luiz

The bones of my team is coming down to this decision as well
So I’ve stopped making changes until Friday

5-3-2 feels really viable. More likely a Brighton clean sheet than a McArthur goal for example.

    Looking similar with

    Kepa

    Laporte Azpi Schlupp Lindelof Dunk

    Hazard Sterling Pogba

    Kane Aguero

Same here. Ole seems to fairly straight when it comes to injury info so hopefully we will get concrete news by the weekend.

With Lindelof’s partner giving birth, I assume he’ll be good to go now, so here’s where I’m at.

Draft number 487,534, but I’m very happy with it:

    Ederson
    Luiz Lindelof Schlupp Duffy
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Milivojevic
    Aguero Kane

I think everyone bar Sterling and possibly Aguero should play twice.

Given how Sane and Jesus played in the cup game against Swansea, I can't see Pep not starting Sterling and Aguero - they are playing catch up to Liverpool and can't afford to be dropping points. May come off around 60 mins mark if they are 2/3 up but I would be very surprised to see them rested.
