Worked well for 31, and with many playing it this week I thought a standalone thread would be good to avoid clogging up the Transfers Thread

    First Draft

    Ederson - (Hamer)

    Tomkins, Lindelof, Valery (Benderek) (Doherty)

Pogba, Hazard, Sterling, Ward Prowse (McNeil)

    Batshuayi, Aguero, Kane

Nope, hes gone for someone but will probably wait until all fixtures are confirmed - ACtually swapped him in the meantime

    Ederson - (Hamer)

    Tomkins, Luiz, Valery (Benderek) (Dunk)

Pogba, Hazard, Sterling, Ward Prowse (McNeil)

    Batshuayi, Aguero, Kane

It'll be a long two weeks of tinkering

Like the Batshuayi pick, think Palace will be overlooked because of the Spurs game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭Trimm Trabb

    Gunn

    Laporte Azpi Luiz AWB

    Sterling Hazard Pogba JWP

    Aguero Kane

Ben Crellin seems to think Southampton are more likely to have dgw in 35 so will have to get back to drawing board if thats the case.

Sarri's future at Chelsea could have a big bearing on things too.

If I had any confidence in Sane starting either game I would be very interested (speaking a DGW25 captain failer) - think City could score 4/5 goals in both games.

Knowing which of their Keepers is going to start would be good but will avoid because it’s a gamble I don’t need.

Edit - could just buy both and hope same keeper starts both games.

    I'm currently on the below:

    Ederson
    Luiz XXXX XXXX
    Sterling Pogba Hazard Ward-Prowse
    Aguero Kane Rashford

I'd love a double Chelsea or Man City defence, but it's obviously not possible with the above.

I only have enough in the bank to fill those two defensive slots with someone like Wan-Bissaka and Valery, and Southampton likely won't even have a double in 32 so it might be back to the drawing board.

I'm thinking it might nearly be worth sacrificing one of the big hitters to get a defence of Luiz, Shaw/Lindelof and Azpilicueta/Laporte out, but the question then is which one?

Is cheapening out on two defensive slots and fielding say Wan-Bissaka and Valery (if Southampton get a double) worth it to also have Sterling, Pogba, Hazard, Aguero and Kane?

Think a lot of teams be very templatey- but am tempted to leave Hazard out for Dilva- especially with Chelsea lacking confidence going forward

    Lloris
    Luiz Shaw Rudiger
    Sterling Dilva JWP Pogba
    Aguero Rashers Kane

I had similar ideas with my team but the likely lack of a Southampton DGW is messing things up. At the moment I don’t think it’s possible to have Sterling, Aguero, Hazard, Kane, Pogba AND Rashford. 5 of the 6 is the max.

At the moment, I’m leaning towards leaving Hazard out, but struggling to find many other good midfield options. I might even look at 4-3-3.

Shame the Leicester v Bournemouth game is on this GW as I reckon it’ll be a goal fest.

My team currently has Vardy and King but I doubt I’ll have either in the FH team.

    Guaita

    Luiz lindelof dunk/valery

    Pedro alli pogba sterling

    Kane aguero rashford

    Norris Connolly dunk/valery romeu

Without putting too much thought into it this is the result of draft number 1

Yeah, the more I look at it the more I think 5 of the 6 big hitters is going to be the maximum we can realistically get out without sacrificing too much elsewhere.

As things stand, I’d be more inclined to lose Kane than the others.

Do we have a date for when these games are going to be scheduled? The matches themselves are only two weeks away. Drip feeding games like the Spurs one is so messy

A downgrade of Kane to Son would give me:
    Ederson
    David Luiz, Lindelof, AWB
Sterling, Hazard, Pogba, Son, Milivojevic (or Stephens)
    Aguero, Rashford, Crouch (or Jimenez)

Changing Hazard to Kane would give me:
    Kepa
    David Luiz, Laporte, Lindelof, AWB
    Sterling, Pogba, Milivojevic
    Aguero, Kane, Rashford.

    Arguments for both I suppose...

Crellin reckons they have to be confirmed by tomorrow at the latest he also reckons he has been told from a 'legit source' that his spreadsheet is pretty bang on

    FH Numero uno:

    Guaita
    Lindelof Schlupp Jonny
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Bilva
    Aguero Kane Rashford

Really difficult to fit everyone in imo, will need a lot of tinkering before the deadline

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,466 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    On this currently:

    Lloris
    Laporte Azpilicueta Schlupp
    Sterling Pogba Jota Townsend
    Aguero Rashford Kane

    Hamer Valery Peltier Romeu

i don't like the midfield much, but that frontline is making me weep. i don't think i can go without Kane and Aguero.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

    2nd draft:

    Kepa

    Luiz Azpi Schlupp

    Sterling Gundog Martial Miliojevic

    Aguero Lukaku Kane

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

No Kane and 3-5-2, but this is the draft I’m happiest with at the moment:

    Kepa
    Laporte Luiz Shaw/Lindelof
    Sterling Pogba Hazard Alli/Son Milivojevic
    Aguero Rashford

I think when push comes to shove I’ll probably dismantle my defence and midfield to get Kane in, however.

Double Chelsea and double city defence is a mental idea isn't it?

Have waaay to much time to go over every idea that could possibly exist with this international break

    First draft :

    Guaita
    Wan-Bissaka... Lindelof... Jonny
    Son...Pogba...Sterling...Mane
    Aguero...Kane...Rashford

    Speroni...Valery...Peltier...Romeu

Top heavy and double palace in defence... hmmmm
Are City gonna have a double in week 32?

Is there anything to be said for double or even triple palace defence? Go all out on them keeping a CS against Huddersfield

Given that there is talk of an injury I wouldn't be buying him, but more so spurs move into their new ground, there is going to be huge excitement from a spurs point of view and so Kane will be going for goals that night for sure. Spurs have Kane and really no one else, United have Rashford first and then Big Rom at the moment.

Schlupp has just made his way onto my watchlist nailed on recently has been playing oop as a left mid only 4.5

First name on the team sheet

    Ryan

    Hazard- Pogba- Delafeou-Sterling
    Aguero-Kane-Jiminez

Both Son and Pogba have gone a little off form the last few weeks. I would probably keep Pogba over Son, on the basis that he's on penalties, where as I think the money be better spent on say Milivojevic and upgrading the defence to like a city defender for instance, than keeping Son. Milivojevic scores some amount of penalties.

Kane is a no brainer and I think could be a strong captain choice - he's scoring nearly 1 a game on average over last 9 games he started I think. New stadium hattrick could be on the cards too - which might be a reason not to go double palace defence.

Just like some lads did with West Ham, that lad Grant for Huddersfield is only getting a run of games now, and has 2 goals and assist in last 4 games, so I would throw caution to double/tripling up on palace defenders.

I am really paying for my bad team value, latest draft

    Kepa
    Shaw- AWB- Lindelof-Montoya
    Hazard- BSilva -Sterling
    Aguero-Kane-Batshuayi

Will be avoiding the big rotation risks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,385 ✭✭✭Nerdlingr

    Revised team :

    Ryan
    Schlupp - Lindelof - Laporte
    Milivojevic - Pogba - Sterling - Hazard
    Aguero - Kane - Jimenez

    Speroni - Peltier - HudsonOdoi - Mariappa

Was on a 352 I was quite happy with last night with JWP as 5th mid
    I now have a problem !
I’ll either have to downgrade ederson or Luiz or Shaw . Or a combination
I’m most likely to keep ederson even though foster could offer better value perhaps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,676 ✭✭✭thunderdog

    First draft

    Ryan
    Laporte Luiz WanB
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Milivojevic
    Aguero Kane Jimenez

Fairly happy with that although might look at taking Milivojevic out for Jota, or go cheaper again and upgrade Ryan instead

Ederson a strange choice. Be very little chance of any saves point

Clean sheets are worth 4 save points ;)
Not fully sure I’ll go with him yet though
    Might even go kepa
    Or cheaper again

That updated fixtures list got me excited.

Most in my mini leagues used it already so might be able to cement the lead, especially with wild card still available. And triple captain :)

Going with Kepa meself I think rather than Ederson.

Cheapest rotation proof City defensive cover for a potential double cleanie. I think he's a great choice.

How do prices work forn Free hit? Is it worth dumping the likes of Salah now or just wait

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭shineon23

    First draft

    Ederson

    Luiz-Lindelof-AWB

    Sterling-Hazard-Pogba-Jorginho(=>4.6 ITB for this spot)

    Aguero-Jimenez-Kane

    Bench: fodder x4

I can go with Jota-Rashford over Pogba-Jim which would give me 1.4 to upgrade my 4th MF slot

Kepa-Laporte over Ederson-Luiz would give me another 0.2

Id probably be looking at Deulofeu or Pereyra or punting on Babel or Camarasa.

Dunk or Ryan will be in my wildcard team so I'm looking at them here too.

Being late to the Pogba party is hurting me here woth te. Value, along with losing value on Alonso and PEA.

If Son instead of Kane could provide my Spurs cover itd solve a lot of problems.

Itll be a long 2 weeks of tinkering ahead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭Trimm Trabb

Surprised to see numerous Wolves and Watford players in many drafts. They are very unlikely to field their best players in the second fixtures due to FA cup that weekend so they are essentially SGW assets. Brighton might be similar although they should prioritize safety - either way with Chelsea away as second fixture they don’t have many appealing options. Throw in Cardiff and Fulham with poor fpl asserts and terrible fixtures and it’s leaves us with 5 teams to choose players from: Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Palace.

Most people will look to get 8/9 from City, United and Chelsea and 2/3 from Spurs and Palace.

Putting Jiminez et al in your draft team now looks great on paper now but when it comes to the crunch don’t think he’ll be considered a serious option.

If you activate free hit can you make as many changes as you want every day? or do they all happen in one go?

Are the teams with Kane and Jimi generally because those that can't afford Rash too.

I'd have thought the top 3 forwards would be Aguero/Kane/Rashford

Well possibly Higuain ahead of Rashford but midfield gonna suffer

Latest though process is to go against the grain judging by the drafts put in and go with a 4-5-1 formation kun being the striker. Can load up a nice midfield then.

    Ederson

    Luiz Shaw schlupp azpi

    Hazard pogba sterling lingaard eriksen

    Aguero
