It's very well built, but I'd imagine anything on top of it would affect the laser mapping

    Does this mop also?

Looking for one that does more than just hoover. Downstairs open plan so looking for one that can clean everywhere and mop floors

If your looking for mop then roborock sounds the best for you. As someone said here to just dragging a damp cloth around. Not really for big mess.

€349 on ali from inside eu

    http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/cCAzW7WC.

    Or Around €460 on amazon

Using the Ali link and German warehouse, will you avoid customs?
The real benefit of using Amazon is returns/warranty?

I have both the Xiaomi the normal and the roborock.
I love the hoovering on both the robots and the floor mapping of the room is just great. (wish they would make a robotic lawn mower). The amount of stuff it picks up amazed me, i wasn`t expecting it from a robot
I was hoping for much more from the roborock, and was really disappointed with the mopping side, and really don`t think its worth the extra. Basically there is a tank of water that drips water onto a cloth. So for anything more then a quick mop its really not worth it, and anything more it will just move the muck around on the floor, and make it worse.
If you want a robotic mopper, then i would get a dedicated robot for just that.

Just my 2 pence worth. I love the hoover part, but wouldn`t buy the roborock unless there was only 20 euros difference.

Does Xiaomi get software update and supports stuff like virtual walls and no-go zones like roborock?

If shipping from Germany or Spain as inside eu no customs as taxes were paid locally.

Not sure on how 3rd party seller works on Amazon regards protection.

The Roborock S2 Mi App has a maping feature and you can edit and add no go areas and also draw on virtual tape on the map.

Have the Roborock over a week now. Have to say I'm really, really impressed with it.
Great for cleaning and even the mopping function I am happy with. You still need to mop floors though, as the mopping function only really buffs tiles so if dirty, no escaping a bit of elbow grease.
Has anyone had any success using with Google Home? Looking online I can only see setup with Home Assistant etc. I'd hoped there might have been an easier way.

Hi you can add in the MI home app into Google home. But it is limited at the moment. You can start the clean using voice command.

Payday today so going to buy a second one of these for upstairs for €254 shipped from Germany so no Customs worrys. My frist one is over a year old at this stair still going strong.

I picked up this https://www.amazon.es/dp/B07DBZXZBW yesterday. Great ratings and reviews, Alexa / Google enabled.
Cheapest it's been, as far as I can tell since Camel Camel Camel is down, is £189 on the UK site.

€185.68 delivered. Expected on the 11th to 14th of Feb.
    Thanks to HUKD.

    Possibly a pricing error...

One of the things I hadn't thought about robot hoovers is how they might increase air quality.. read a review recently saying how buyer had notcied air quality much improved.. might make me consider one at some stage

Euro plug I guess. It doesn't mention the plug.

Update to this. After doing some more research, this vac doesn't have any mapping capabilities so it just bounces around the room hoping it's hoovered everywhere. I'm sure that's fine for a square room but any sort of obstacles may cause it issues.
Also, the product reviews on the UK site get an F rating on fakespot.
    https://www.fakespot.com/product/eufy-boostiq-robovac-30c-wi-fi-upgraded-super-thin-1500pa-strong-suction-13-ft-boundary-strips-included-quiet-self-charging-robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleans-hard-floors-to-medium-pile-carpets
Still though, it rates highly on most tech sites it's been reviewed on.

The price is still very good so I'll wait see what it's like but I may end up returning it if it's rubbish.

Are the items on Ali genuine Xiaomi, are people not worried they are just rip-offs?
Would really like to get one

Unless they have a HEPA filter, they won’t increase air quality. Likely to keep the dust down(if your seldom used a vacuum cleaner before), if your old vacuum cleaner was manky and throwing dust back into the air, then you’d notice a difference. These won’t increase air quality on their own.

I had been watching this already as it was a lightning deal numerous times recently on amazon.co.uk. That's a great price, I went for it. My old Aldi robot did a surprisingly decent job so I hope a newer model can't be any worse. And anything more I can control by voice the better.
