Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't want to argue! You said I nearly hit a car turning across me. I hadn't reached the end of the road, the lady took the corner far too fast and on my side of the road and you think I'm wrong. I don't know what else to say! :D

You stop at the sign, not the end of the road.
The sign is telling you that you must stop, it is not a warning of an upcoming stop. You stop because you are joining a major road.

There was no stop line, so you so at the sign. In any case, the line would be with the sign.

    20. (1) A driver of a vehicle shall stop the vehicle in advance of traffic sign number RRM 017 [stop line] or traffic sign number RUS 027 [stop sign].

    (2) Where both traffic signs referred to in sub-article (1) are provided, a driver of a vehicle shall stop the vehicle in advance of traffic sign number RRM 017 [stop line].

Stop signs are often back from a junction where HGVs would need to make a wide turn, proceeding past the the sign means you are in their way.

This is not one of those cases. The line has simply worn away and definitely needs to be replaced. I've lived in Drogheda for years. Thanks for your in depth investigation, got any clips to upload??

To paraphrase the law - Main road ahead. Traffic on the main road has right of way. Stop before entering

Wow, I hope she caught the reg and reported it.

I'd hazard a guess though that only 1 of the parties has insurance.

Easily seen on the vid at 0:45 seconds.

    Reg matches car model.

Good thing the dashcam has a decent resolution

Well, if anything the EU has accomplished with their open border policies, it is that it turned The Netherlands into an Eastern European country as it comes to dashcam footage.

    couple from Friday/Monday commutes...

Car driving in bus lane for no apparent reason:

Might be hard to see the trailer in vid, but it was really wobbling badly...just as the cops were passing him. The 206, just in front of the Red Ford pulling into Lane-1 after overtaking the trucks:

Yeah the cammer told me that after the rear end the other driver fled the scene,
The Garda were called and it was an uninsured driver
The cammer and her sis had a pains in their necks and sore backs but nothing serious thankfully.

Shouldn't the scrapper be in trouble for releasing the car back onto the road?

The video could be two years old if the date on the original is correct. (Jan 2016)

And when the cheque arrives, he can send on a chunk to Simon & Garfunkel for the use of their song, and Disturbed for the use of their recording...?

Just a riff on the ‘but the dashcammer was in the wrong too’ trope.

If we play that back at 4x, we could call that a slow overtake.

Prime Time was seen by millions (probably) my video of it with an aditional song has 350 views :pac:
If Disturbed and S&G want all of the revenue (lol) they can have it :D
Chasing Abbey copyrighted my time lapse video and Ryan Sheridan has my channel trailer, I knew that would be the case before I uploaded them as I blatantly used their songs :)

Current affairs or news programmes can generally use material like this from YouTube etc as a fair use under copyright law. It’s the same way they can put sports clips etc on the news without paying for or having the rights, or the way statire or review shows can show clips from other channels to slag them off etc.
That’s assuming clips are credited appropriately of course.

Fair use pertains to using a portion of a works not in it's entirety - they used more than a little bit to get their point across, plus they said they filmed it themselves
The commercial side of it I wouldn't be too sure about - usually when a tv programme uses your video they pay you for it

Yeah its called fair dealing in Ireland, You'd normally expect either payment or as you've said credit (or both) I got neither :p

Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000. 51.—(1) Fair dealing with a work for the purposes of criticism or review of that or another work or of a performance of a work shall not infringe any copyright in the work where the criticism or review is accompanied by a sufficient acknowledgement.

Might fire them off an email, saying I want to use the clips for a project. Ask them who they got the permission from? Just because I want to get permission and credit them too?

You really criticising other drivers behaviour? you clearly break the 100km/h limit at 13sec into the video.

He made up for that by doing a very slow 99 km\h and not a normal 99 a few secs later.
