Real case of pick a man, any man. But had to send someone to the bin

    Where's the card???

Edit: Jesus justice, if they'd escaped without a carding there... Just go back to the scrum and card the loosehead??

this ref. tries to get a number and can't so wasn't giving a yellow, TMO comes in and gives him a number out of the hat and eventually gives a yellow, ridiculous reffing

Game on. Serious turnaround so far. Impressed with Kenny.

Jack gone to scrum half now Marmion gone with the injury it seems.

We won't mention that penalty attempt 🙈

    Kenny has been excellent

I should stop praising Carty. Every time I'm praising him he does something crazy, we still would be lost without him though. Great work from Porch in the buildup earlier too, seems like another very shrewd signing.

Didn’t see the game today because of work but Porch has been our form wing/fullback imo, very tidy player.

He will because he wanna play?

Lucky to go into half time ahead but would have to think being a man down for 65 mins will be very very hard to win now, and even harder again to get another 2 tries. Need some magic from big players.

No magic but it did happen

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,965 ✭✭✭connachta

Massive call going for the scrum when they're a man down and only ahead by 3

Butler had balls. Good call for 1 more point which could be decisive to get past Scarlets (if you're optimistic) or Cardiff to have a home European Play-off. As our point difference won't be good, we need to get 1 more point than the opposition

He might because he wants to play more regularly

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,965 ✭✭✭connachta

    regularly yeah:rolleyes:

Minutes played since he's in Dublin in Pro14 : 55 in 2 years

In Connacht he'd be 3rd choice, so as limited it could be, it's at least 200 minutes a season.
And with McCoy injury/rest need before May, it's obvious he'll be on the pitch again this season.
With Furlong/Porter back for Leinster, he won't

Yes but he may not want to move to Connacht or anywhere, I’m not suggesting he wouldn’t get more time just he may not want to move now or even at the end of the season. Not sure what your eye roll was about.

And what if He feels another year ar Leinster with better coaching is his best option?

Regularly. The guy has nearly no gametime at all.
None of the Leinster 3 prefered TH are close to retirement, only Bent is.
He needs rugby. He should test Connacht now we need him. If it doesn't work out, and he preferes to be Leinster 4th choice, good for him

The only problem is will Leinster undergo enough pressure to loan him?
If McCoy is injured even for a week, it's an emergency situation

Give Leinster 1st 2nd and 3rd team to Andy Friend and you might be surprised.

I know he has very little game time, your second sentence doesn’t make any sense.

Didn't see the match, great result though.

Heard Healy went off injured again. He's a super servant but it's fierce frustrating how prone he is to injuries this year. A fair few games we've had to put Godwin on the wing for him.

That's your oponion because you are trying to create a scenario to suit an agenda whereas your not looking at this from the players viewpoint. The player may feel another year at Leinster might be better for his development.

He may and should also feel Connacht is way better coached you imply, and at 23 next season, it's a make or break for him, so gametime is crucial.

If McCoy is out, IRFU should do everything possible to avoid Connacht having only Kenny to play. Simple as that. Put pressure on other provinces to loan, allow a NIQ and easying visa obtention, buying Oisin Heffernan remaining 3 months of contract in England, whatever

This isn’t Football Manager on your laptop, there are more factors at play here than game time.

Also he is under contract to Leinster so the conversation should be over now. Not sure why you feel so entitled to think he should be a Connacht player now.

It’s not make or break for him at all, your building an argument based on what you want, not what the player may want.

Rather pessimistic but not improbable scenario, useful to see where we are to play in Champions Cup next season, we have no room for errors
Makes today BP more important !

Connacht | Cardiff | Points expected for us | Points expected for them

    Scarlets (H) | Zebre (H) | 4 | 5

    Zebre (A) |Ospreys (H) | 2 (likely Cornavirus cancelled game : nil-nil draw) | 5

    Glasgow (H) | Munster (A) | 4 | 0

    Benetton (A) | Scarlets (A) | 0 | 1

    Ulster (H) | Kings (H) | 1 | 5

    Blues (A) | Connacht (H) | 0 | 5

    Edinburgh (H) | Leinster (A) | 4 | 0

    Munster (A) | Dragons (A) | 0 | 5

    Total || 15 | 26

    Cumulative total | | 50 | 55

    Can be loaned.
And his contract expires in May
Hope it's happening, and the rumour is true. If it's earlier because of an injury crisis, good for us, good for him
