He'll play 0 more minutes this season in Leinster vs a good amount in Connacht as injury cover. Yeah it would be good for him.

And what if He feels another year ar Leinster with better coaching is his best option?

Salanoa, Dowling, and indeed probably all of the Leinster fringe players are in a difficult spot. Yes they are definitely in the best environment as regards coaching, facilities etc. but at some point they will need to start getting proper gametime to reach their potential.

What's with the fetishization of Salanoa? There was nothing stopping Connacht giving him an academy or development deal during the two years or whatever it was he was in the sub-academy and playing AIL. But now that he's played a few games for the full Leinster team he should be looking for a move?

Don't think a loan deal this season is on the cards as he'll be needed for the mini tour to SA before the Euro qf.

Tough game with the card but a good well thought out win. It was a harsh card to me but Robb really cannot put himself in that position.

Jack was excellent keep kings pinned back in the second half but the most impressive player for me was Kenny. Not the toughest examination he will face but really improved the scrum when him and heffernan came on. Also noticeable how much the team kept encouraging him in the sequence before the penalty try

    :pac::pac:
We get two points against Zebre because of Corona virus. Our game against Treviso goes ahead and we lose with no bp.
Cardiff's game against Zebre goes ahead and they bp win.

    That's a different level of pessimism :D:D

Maybe he goes to college in dublin and that option not available out west?

    Maybe he prefers Dublin.

You don't know what would be good for him so you should stop making such definitive statements

    Yes, because
Cardiff-Zebre is in Wales, so more likely to be played than if it was in Italy

Zebre-Connacht is in 4 weeks, Benetton-Connacht in 7 weeks, more likely the 2nd games stands. And sadly Treviso (full-strenght) are more difficult to take away from home than Zebre

Curious as to why you’ve left he scarlets out of this? Only two points off then and at home in the next round with players back. Finishing third in the conference is the aim

As you see, i'm expecting a tough struggle for 4th, Scarlets have lots of home games and 2 winnable away games, I can bet they're out of reach. Honnestly. Except if miracle series happen like in our titrle year, but the team is not in that state of shape, you can admit it.
Ulster home is the decider for Connacht IMO. So tricky

Despite your optimism, you now have to admit we're not in a very confortable position. 1 home loss and we're down.

Cardiff WILL take the 5 points away to Dragons, because the latter will probably have nothing to play for, and heavily rotate before their away play-off vs us or Cardiff.

So Cardiff will finish 54-55 realisticaly.

5 points away to Zebre is not an easy task. I do hope Pro14 make the venue come on neutral ground, but in Parma, it wouldn't be easy with Italian International players back

I agee with you (in an optimistic way) we should take a BP vs maybe less interested Munster. But I do hope we don't have to rely on a win there on final day.

Which means we have to take 11 points out of these 4 games
    Zebre (a)Glasgow(h) Treviso (a)Ulster (h)

If we're neutral, not pessimistic, it's 50/50 we can do this
    3 wins or 2 wins + 3 BP

Corona virus. We have Zebre and Treviso away. If those games are cancelled and given as 0-0 draws that hands 4th place to Cardiff. Is this a realisitc or likely scenario? Could really screw up our season...

yeah that's why I tabled on 2 points vs Zebre, and hope Pro 14 move for venue outside Italy

No way games will be moved to neutral venue as travel/event restrictions get imposed by more and more governments in next few weeks

So why have games been postponed ?

Pro14 have already indicated 0-0 draws are most likely outcome

People are dying from a virus that is causing the postponements

Have you ever a TV programme called The News? Look it up and see what's going on

It also depends if they cancel italian home AND away games.

Connacht in a realistic scenario will lose 1 "theorical" point (2+2 instead of 5+0 or 4+1 would have been the most likely outcome vs Zebre then Treviso)

If they also cancel away Italian games Cardiff will lose 3 (2 instead of 5) ans Scarlets will gain 1 (2 points in Treviso instead of 1 BP)

But it's theory, all games could be canceled fingers crossed it won't...

Sport thats hugely impacted by a worldwide medical/health issue.

3 games already postponed and likely to be more. Pro14 have already said somethings about what will happen if a suitable date cannot be found. So that's it really.

Italian govt apparently announced in a press conference that all sports events are suspended for 30 daya, but can go ahead behind closed doors of in a closed structure (stadium?). Suggests our fixtures may still be played albeit without spectators. Which would benefit the away team of course...

I'm waiting for Burkie about "my stupid idea" now. Wil probably try smth like "Pro14 will decide differently than the official Gouvernement view"

Your idea was "neutral venue". Zebre and Benetton playing at home behind closed doors is not a neutral venue. There is still no guarantee that games will be played as scheduled behind closed doors either as there will be a decision tomorrow regarding the Italy v England 6n game.

Pro14 also said they will monitor the situation and if games get postponed and cannot be rescheduled then 0-0 will apply.

Just because the Italian authorities say games can go ahead behind closed doors doesn't mean Pro14 games will go ahead due to the risk involved in people travelling to a highly impacted region.

Yeah basically what I expected. I've talked about closed doors too.
And of course Italian Gov won't tell about "neutral venue" by itself. But it's a 1st step, if, as you said, there's risk about travelling. they've renounced about home advantage de facto.
