Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Moose's contract is up next month.

Oh My God what is Elk doing in Capitol Wrestling Center.

I wonder what are the odds on him resigning?

Will be a huge lost for Impact I feel

I think Moose will sign one more contract. He seems loyal to them.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,812 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

I'd imagine he will re-sign too, if he does he's guaranteed a win over Omega that will count for a lot when the next contract is up.

Good move, tbh she's suited there. Like Tessa (before she fcuked up) they'll always treat here as important. I'd question if she'd get the same treatment anywhere else.

The X-Division is looking pretty damn good at the moment again, Alexander, Ace Austin, TJP, El Phantasmo are all awesome, and then you've got the likes of Petey, Willie and Chris Bey available too

I enjoyed that a lot and really looking for to Omega vs Moose now.

Another great show from impact. Some excellent matches. Was surprised with a few results which is great as love not being able to get every result right

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

So is the title match at Slammiversary or the next Impact Plus event? I assume at Slammiversary.

Callis is no longer listed as a EVP of Impact on the Anthem Sports website.

I'd love to see him in AEW

Besides managing Omega, id like to see him permanently on commentary, maybe replacing J.R?

Such a pity Impact haven't been able to build on the last few months with live audiences.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,641 ✭✭✭RollieFingers

Will be cool to see Satoshi Kojima make an appearance, Bread Club has arrived to IMPACT!

The New Japan Dad's making great use of the forbidden door, Tenzan must be next in line! Although in a way with the NJPW situation as dire as is they could probably do with a few going the other way.

    Didn't see this coming:
VBD (Rhyno and Doering) win the tag titles

I thought the Moose Omega segment went well, there was really just one thing I wanted to see and that was Moose not letting Callis talk too much **** about him and he didn't, job done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,893 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The American Dragon, The IIconcs and The Forgotten sons added to the latest teaser for Slammiversary along with The Bullet Club.

Moose did well, threatened to go off the rails when he started waffling about Gods but job done. Callis did his bit making Moose seem like a big deal as well while also laying the seeds for why he'll lose.

So who would be most likely to make an appearance?
I think IIconics and maybe Joe.
Mickie or Chelsea (who has Matt there)

Forgotten Sons doesn't seem a big enough name to tease so they're possible, though I guess they were teasing everyone.

Joe and BDson to reform the Main Event Mafia :pac:

Josh Alexander vs TJP in a 60 minute Iron Man next week could be a match of the year contender.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

And not many will see it, since isn't that BTI exclusive to the app?

Two of the best wrestlers on Impact at the moment

    Moose calling out Black.

    I want it now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

60 minute Iron Man match ran into Impact so they showed the last 10 minutes or so. Both guys wrecked as you'd expect but still going.

Don't know what the focus on Sami Callihan against Kenny is about. Are they looking to him to take the title rather than Moose?

And we have our first cut WWE guy, though didn't recognise him, probably due to being clean shaven and the lack of tv time he really got anyway - Steve Cutler. Had to look up the name when it showed him.
Just double checked now and didn't realise he was released before the other cuts

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,812 Mod ✭✭✭✭riffmongous

I think the focus on Sami now is cause you cant have Moose taking the title straight off Omega, he needs a defense first if Moose winning is going to have any 'impact'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,953 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

Pulled the trigger on this. Should be fun!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,255 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

I'm sure I'll order it also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,953 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

Rumoured to be 100 fans or less and all tickets are ringside. They give tonnes of stuff too and will even be able to go home with a piece of the canvas. I seemed to have got the first ticket so hopefully the two Tony's and Jerry Lynn are front row again for Kenny's match.

Impact have put the Josh Alexander vs TJP: 60 MIN IRONMAN match on youtube

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,893 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Slammiversary sold out in 20 minutes and with tickets at $250 each that's not bad going.

What do people make of them nowadays as a commentating team? I think they've aged pretty well, in so far as the standard of commentating has fallen so low that whenever I watch any old TNA I enjoy listening to them. West had great energy, especially compared to his 'insipid' successor

Looking forward to Against All Odds on Sunday the card look really good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Since it's an Impact show, it's on Saturday I believe.

It is funny that their Event names are basically a company description. "Against All Odds" they're "Hard to Kill"

Omega vs Moose will take place from Daily's Place.

Sami Callahan will take on the winner at Slammiversary.

    Ugh

    Ugh

I have the feeling it's a set-up for a triple threat after some shenanigans on Saturday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Good Brothers and Sami being kept busy in a tag match in the Impact Zone so maybe the Bucks will make an appearance?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,631 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Maybe I'm missing it but what do they see in Sami Callahan?

    Strange one for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Yeah it makes no sense that they keep looking past Moose and treat Sami like the threat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,631 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

They need to build Moose as the monster, he's their best asset.

Said it before but I'd go with Trey Miguel as the one to eventually dethrone Omega, big potential there, he always stood out as the most impressive of the Rascalz.

He stood out most to me also but big ask for him to beat Omega convincingly. A roll up maybe.... actually now that I think of it wouldn't be surprised if that's how Omega drops it.

A roll up that cam easily be played up as shenanigans involved where Omega got what was coming to him, so you wouldn't have any sympathy for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,641 ✭✭✭RollieFingers

Yeh you'd have to build him up of course but if I was IMPACT and looking at the long game, that's the way I'd go. Moose obviously very good and an excellent choice too.

I think this is where IMPACT will get the most benefit from working with AEW. It should be a big rub for whoever goes over Omega, much more so than beating Rich Swann.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,255 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Have to say I like what Sami brings to the game but yeah I agree with those who say it should be Moose. Maybe they're worried Moose's head might be turned elsewhere once his contract is up and who could blame them for being cautious after what happened with Tessa.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Expected the Good Brothers to turn up since their match opened.
No clean finish I guess may make it a triple threat with Sami taking the pin and Kenny being protected.

Exactly. Good show last night, lots being built up for Slammiversary.

We desperately need to see someone from Impact on AEW

Decent show, I really liked Doering/Kojima. Was much better without Matt Striker there.

I'd say it could be time for an IMPACT invasion on Dynamite when the show goes back on the road in July.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,631 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

An okay show for me and the Fite TV 8 euro purchase price was pretty descent

I didn't like the ending of the number 1 contender for the X-Division Championship. It was a really good watch and then they spoiled it :/

Omega V Moose, didnt blow me away, felt it was to slow and these guys are super talents and they just had an off night

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,893 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I think both moose and omega are working injured so that played a part in it not being great I’d imagine.

Josh Mathews with the no one likes a 3 man booth when D’Lo said he can stay on when Striker returns made me smile

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,301 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I'd say that X-Division ending was to set up a 6 man Ultimate X or ladder match at Slammiversary.

It's mad to think Moose hasn't held the title.
Who were the fans? A lot of faces I didn't recognise. But saw Kilynn. Does she ever leave ringside when not in a match?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,641 ✭✭✭RollieFingers

Josh Alexander has answered Alex Coughlin's open challenge for a match on this weeks Strong, should be a stomper!
