Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Funny why a high profile suicide in Waterford never got a mention on boards, and was taken down off the WLRFM death notice.

Why would a death notice be taken down, regardless the cause of death?

    Don't understand ......

I love me some ham sambos.Twas often on a sudden whim of the senses that I would parade myself half drunk on the cobbles in town.I stood firm in a dignified posture.Spoke eloquently to the local ladies, I did indeed admonish them about the troubles of contraception and the sinful nature of wearing pants rather than the conventional dress.I ingratiated myself with the rest of the timid townsfolk.Spoke oft to a gent affectionately known as "howdo", a brave soul who sequestered himself towards the clock tower in the evening time. He'd be attentive to the parking ticket machine.Oh I sail out of port in the morning and I will take my fiery lass with me.We are going far to Dover to attack it with peg-guns.

I see on facebook masons are doing a 3 Euro drink offer (all drinks 3 euros each) 7 days a week.

Will be jammers when the euros start. Probly every scumbag in town will be drinking down there now. Hope it's better than the toddle (the horror stories I've heard about they place)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,427 ✭✭✭mooseknunkle

The toddle closed down years ago and even when it was open i dont think they ever had €3 drinks

Down at the blues match tonight, fair play to the supporter club lads and their attempts to create bit atmosphere however the chants f&#k the fai,f#&k John delaney, and f#&k SSE need a rethink.
I was thinking they are some gang of mensa candidates then the shels lads started singing it to.
What have they against the 3 enemies of United and shels? :-)

Household rubbish and furniture at Laurel Park/Laurel Court green area.

I contacted the council weeks ago, nothing done. Have just e-mailed them the above. See anything happens.

Jesus that is bad. Is Cherrymount the councils responsibility? I always presumed that place was a private estate.

I saw a Deer at Newtown this morning, it was on the dunmore road, looked l like a young or female deer at a guess...didn't have antlers.
I thought it bizarre as would never expect to see a deer in that location, due to lack of fields, woods etc for them to live.

The deer was just by where the dunmore road roundabout meets passage and Newtown roads, literally about a mile from the mall.I was thinking it could have swam from island, crazy if so.only alternative is walked all the way in from out faithlegg way...is there deers out there? It's a long walk if so.

Something to do with no oxygen getting into the brain

Speaking of the papers I live on mayors walk and have not received the Waterford today today and last week. It's only a few seconds walk to the offices but it's weird not getting it in the door

Nothing was done a fire broke out this afternoon, two units came down initially at some expense. I suspect broken glass might have caused it

Shame for the area to be highlighted in this way

    http://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/tourist-left-horrified-views-roadside-8355389

I travel this road everyday - what the guy suggested (litter picking crew) actually happened over a few days only a few months ago - they did a great job and the place was spotless. Within days there were bag appearing on the roadside again. One fireroad entrance had a double mattress dumped there for 6 weeks.

The litter picking crew were predominantly council workers (i know many of them) - plus they had two vehicles from a hire company - so this operation would have cost quite a few quid.

Does anyone actually know of someone being fined? Heard stories of bags of rubbish with letters identifying where it came from being found, council informed yet they think its not worth the hassle/won't be successful if prosecute.
Also, you have dopes shouting infringement of rights when likes of Dublin council publish photos.

Years ago Dungarvan county council hired a private detective to catch fly tippers.

He did a pretty good job of it and it was even reported in the English tabloids ( The Sun and Mirror)
