Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have heard of alleged past fighting in the Tipp camp. A lot of very personal stuff. I have great respect for any inter county player even a Tipp player ;) I only brought it up cause I think Tipp will struggle again this year.

Exactly alleged which says it all,why bring it up if you have respect for any inter-county player(even a tipp player!) Sure why don't I say I heard rumours about certain Cork players?

Good win for the ladies footballers over Dublin, 2-13 to 2-8. I think results elsewhere mean a rematch in the league semifinal in 2 weeks

Haven had a man sent off in the first 6 minutes, didnt see it as i didn't arrive until 20 mins gone. And were a goal down at that point. Haven got level and another guy got sent off (straight red) for a farily standard challenge. No-one seemed suprised with the result with the way the game panned out

grand way to spend a summer evening.
What a time for Sean Óg Ó hAilpín to score his first ever championship point for Cork. 2005 All Ireland Quarter-Final v Waterford. Game in the balance. Cork trail Waterford by a point. Up steps the captain.

Cork and Waterford played out a decade-long epic rivalry throughout the 00's that saw some of the most thrilling hurling in recent memory.Players like Sean Óg, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Joe Deane gave us some great days against Dan Shanahan, Paul Flynn and Ken McGrath.

This May Bank Holiday Sunday, those Rebel heroes renew that rivalry with The Deise in Youghal GAA Club for a one off charity match in aid of Youghal Cancer Support Centre. Throw in is at 6pm. Come along to see Sean Óg go toe-to-toe once more with Dan Shanahan and more battles that are sure to conjure up memories of great days gone by.

Tickets are €10 and are available online. Just follow the link - https://bit.ly/2TULm1b

Correct decision, the play off v kk had to count.

Tbh I thought they were lucky. My cursory viewing of the rule made it appear to me they wouldn't win the appeal. Nevertheless I suspect management will have (if not already) a firm word with seamie about not repeating that in championship.

It would appear that he got off on a technicality because of the wording of the rule. The rule, in essence, says that relagation and promotion matches do not count in terms of serving a suspension. Cork (and Kilkenny) argued that their match did not fall within the definition of that rule because there was no team actually going to be relegated, so the match was a competitive fixture as part of the league and not a playoff! Would imagine we'll see the wording of the rule changed accordingly.

One match ban was the game v kk. He didn't play that game. Same for the kk player in the same boat.

heard that people got in with their season tickets which would mean the game was part of league or championship

Watching this game on FB. Now I have the sound turned down as I am watching the hurling on tv so not following it fully but there seems to be a load of frees in the ladies game. Maybe the ref is just applying the rules but the ladies should be let get a bit physical. Seems like any contact results in a free and a lady gets a talking to. Let them all play a bit at least!

If the ref gave a yellow card it would cut out alot of the fouling. Cynical stuff from Dublin.

I'd agree with that but can't see anything other than a comfortable cork win notwithstanding the league was as phony as it ever was, both teams have superb forwards but tipps backs have no speed

Spillane a big loss at corner back. McDonnell taken off last week v Midleton, recovering from minor surgery I think.
