    I've done a bench press/sit up/ row before.

Oh yeah and there was a roll of shame in there as well.

Apart from showing off, I really don't see the point. But it would look pretty cool if you got it right.

I wouldn’t say it’d be a useless excercise but maybe one for when the gym is quiet and definitely a spotter present.

The risks definitely outweigh the potential benefits.

But you get to build a huge chest, shoulders and strip away belly fat all in one movement

    Just do planks.

I think it was Baz Luhrmann who wrote a song about it inallinanywayaz

    Just do planks

But planks remove the possibility of dislocating both shoulders at once as a barbell falls on my throat. I like danger

If you like danger, give Larry your credit card and a laptop.

I think it's important to remember that Larry Wheels doing this with 120kg is the equivalent of about 40kg for most of us.

Like some decorative trimming on the edge?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,734 ✭✭✭✭Dtp1979

It can be used on existing belts apart from SBD belts.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,734 ✭✭✭✭Dtp1979

It’s on Alan thralls latest Instagram video

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,693 ✭✭✭Deano7788

That’s Brandon Campbell Diamonds video on it. It’s from Pioneer, who pretty much specialise in belts, most of theirs aren’t ipf approved as they refused to pay the rather large fee (only really relevant here for IrishPF Nationals and Junior Nationals, so fine for Open comps, not sure on other federations but think it’s fine), although they do make the belts for A7 which are approved. Not sure what way the lever itself would be classified.

It’s essentially an alternative to the SBD belt, in that it’s an adjustable lever, but rather than have to buy a brand new belt the lever works with any existing lever belt like a Titan or Strength Shop.

    Beast gets 47% off

    Which is still pretty impressive

It's case-sensitive, which is why you only got 47% for 'Beast'.

    'BEAST' gets you 52%.

I know the joke is on me for reading rubbish in the media but I found the below article incredibly frustrating to read and kick in the teeth to a lot of people. Very damaging to portray it as all being so easy

    https://www.rte.ie/lifestyle/living/2020/1202/1181854-joe-wicks-im-healthy-fit-and-ive-never-tracked-my-calories/

    Some of the highlights:

One of Wicks’ biggest criticisms of the dieting industry is the "pressure to not only cook really healthily and exercise, but you’ve also got to track your calories and know your macros and all this stuff", he says.

"I’m healthy and fit and I’ve never tracked my calories. I don’t know how much I eat,

You don’t have to track your calories unless you’ve a particular goal in mind.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,557 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

Man with no weight issues doesn't have to manage his food intake.

    Shocker.

If you have weight to lose, just buy his bukes.

I ate 1kg of peanut butter in two days.

    Bagles + butter + peanut butter+ Skyr yogurt and jam/honey = amazing

If they had ever seen one of Joe Wick's programs they'd quickly realize it's nothing but macros and calorie based, very disguised but that's the key.

Joe Wicks sells millions of copies of diet books build around carb restriction for cutting and smart use of carbs at heavy training cycles.

Sudden after 8 books. And milking the template. It’s all about mental health and feeling goood.

Business strategy, get then fit then fat again so they go back.
