Capitalists don't support self-destruction through gradual climate change. The people who support self-destruction while claiming to be Capitalists, are not Capitalists - how could they be Capitalist while supporting the self-destruction of that system?
They are supporters of Oligarchy at any cost. They'll use whatever ideology is most favourable for the day, to achieve that. Typically this is something closer to Anarcho-Capitalism/Libertarianism - just like all the think-tanks you lot are fellating - which is a form of Capitalism which is nothing like what we see in the real world, it's a deliberately extreme/unachievable form of Capitalism, that happens to be very useful to Oil Oligarchs.

Yeah. It's all a big conspiracy by crypto capitalist oil oligarchs fascists for sure

Everyone one who you dont agree with or point out that the green new deal is a big pile of brown poo are the "supporters of the Oligarchy"
And "Anarcho-Capitalism / Libertarianism lol. Sure.

Jeez h bike - but do you actually read the ****e you post?

So now you've got that off your chest - we can take it you now finished hijacking the greta in the new world thread yeah?

Puritanist now, are we? I'll go to hell for my sins, so :)

Really - throwing around the 'Communist' label - and accusing others of junior cert level arguments...

I lifted the debate right up to the macroeconomic level, and the economic/political reforms needed for enacting a Green New Deal proper - about as high a place the debate can go - and just got met with the Communist accusation bullshit (even junior cert students wouldn't fall for that shit) - from people who aren't even Capitalists, just supporters of self-destructive Oligarchy...

Again: No conspiracies - it is being done right out in the open - are you completely ignorant of the Oil Oligarch backed think-tank networks?

It's well researched and out in the open, ffs

If you're not Anarcho-Capitalists/Libertarians - why the fuck are you all citing Libertarian think-tanks, funded by notorious Oil Oligarchs?

You're oblivious - wilfully so, most likely, whenever something agrees with your views.

Yes you are right. You debate at a much higher level than the ordinary plebs on Boards. There is no higher place a debate can go than droning endlessly on and on about the green new deal. Even with liberal use of swear words and obsessing over sex acts your debating prowess is on a far superior level to anything I have seen on the internet never mind Boards or this thread.

Tip: If someone's not a Communist, stop spouting that shite in place of presenting actual arguments - that way an actual debate can happen - and it doesn't devolve into ridiculing the hypocrisy of 'Communist!' screeching, from idiots who obliviously advocate the self-destruction of Capitalism, through gradual climate change.

Am I really? The last source I quoted for you was the UK socialist party who were claiming the New Green deal as belonging to them. So are you now saying the socialists are in fact "Libertarian think-tanks" funded by "notorious Oil Oligarchs"? Indeed Indeed truly deeply

So the climate would stop changing if there was no capitalism?

It didn’t work for the dinosaurs.

Youre going to need to get much better at this to make it as a troll here. Your posts are all just nonsense buzz word bingo, very transparant.

Would you agree that climate change has happened in the absence of capitalism and therefore your assertion that the way to prevent climate change is to get rid of capitalism is nonsense.

Well, the dinosaurs were killed by a the effects of a meteorite. Not much comparison there. Maybe you learned paleontology from Mr Freeze and think the Ice Age did it.

Of course climiate change has happened in differeit forms without human involvement. However, the scientific consenus is that the current changes are man made.

A meteorite killed the dinosaurs? How certain are you that is wasn’t climate change? Go on. Google.

Not entirely all Mr Freeze, Ache. There was the Great Dying, which is still the largest extinction event on this planet and very nearly wiped all life out. This was thought to be a mixture of meteorites, volcanoes, and climate warming.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permian–Triassic_extinction_event

I would also say that the current scientific consensus is that some of the current changes are man-made. As yet there has been nothing published to say exactly what that percentage is or it's effect.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Young adults on their upcoming NGO inspired pilgrimage to worship wind turbines should follow Gretas lead and only walk or cycle to school.
Funny there was not a peep out of them over the Summer or weekends

What do we want? Climate action.
When do we want it? During double maths!

Expect the recruiters to be out as as well.

The Cork teen constantly assesses her own actions to ensure that she minimises any negative impact on the planet

I wonder if Climate Piety buys a pilgrim enough carbon neutrality to fly guilt free to New York.

RTE has joined in the efforts to get down with the yoot and spread alarmist propaganda.

RTÉ Brainstorm is one of hundreds of worldwide news outlets taking part in Covering Climate Now, a project headed by the Columbia Journalism Review, The Nation and The Guardian to strengthen the media's focus on the climate crisis in the lead-up to the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York on September 23rd.

No one can be a neutral effect on the environment.

If Greta or anyone else wants to be neutral to the environment they would have to stop breathing.

What if 30/40 nukes were shot randomly into the air, knock off a few million people, could be good for global warming?
Or stear an asteroid into the earth so that it's completely obliterated maybe that would help with our carbon emissions?

Don't go there, It don't think that was what they meant by cost efficient renewable energy, besides it would not be very good for the efficiency of solar panels.

this is it the kids are laughing.

i heard a goon of a teacher on the radio talking about tomorrow's "strike" and how the kids are using their "climate anxiety" to speak to power. Pure cult stuff.
