Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

technical is like driver theory test - it's online. So is everyone, regardless of how they do on the technical test assessed face to face? That's amazing - people could get that far then without having ever sat in a car (as long as they had a licence for more than 5 years)! That seems like a huge waste of time and resources.

So, the next round starts today. If I'm correct in my thinking, those who successfully completed the aptitude tests will be invited to the assessment center and must have the technical test completed by then!? With a cut off point of next Thursday, the 25th!?

Can you post a link confirming this information?

It says in the link above, the tests closed on the 17th. My email said the tests had to be completed by 4pm the 18th. Did anyone else get an email with their tests saying the 18th?
Has anyone heard anything since completing the tests?

I heard nothing. I thonk its a very optimistic timeline anyway with all the interest my number for first tests was over 4000!

Aptitude tests here were for 4pm on 18th too. Number here was in 4000s as was someone else's.

Got invite to assessment centre in the last few minutes. Link to technical test is in it. Says it's untimed. Says it has to be completed within 40 mins. However, if it's untimed, surely that means someone can have the driver theory test booklet beside them and get the answer before submitting!? Sounds like 40 minutes with unlimited stoppage time to me!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,086 ✭✭✭tuisginideach

Well done - no invite here.

    hey

my husband applied and completed the online assessment but didn't receive an email today - i take it that means he didn't get to the next round?

I wouldn't say that. The timetable for 8nvites says they're going out until the 25th. I reckon they're releasing them in bunches so as they don't have too many selecting the same date for assessment center all at the same time.

Hey pajopearl well done and good luck! Can I ask how many questions you completed in the aptitude test?

I got an invite as well to the next stage, looks like a busy assessment day.
There is lots of days to choose from over February to attend the assessment day so there must be still a lot of candidates.
    5mcdonag - I answered roughly 33/42 questions
Congrats to anyone who got an invite today

In the verbal reasoning Igor up to question 38 I think and in the dots test, I got 100% correct tho I don't know how many I answered

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,086 ✭✭✭tuisginideach

Only got up to 17 in the verbal reasoning so that's the end of me I'd say. Did your invitation give you your scores from the verbal reasoning - just curious?

    No. No scores.

Thanks pajopearl and piobhan! Hubby got to 22 questions so I'd say he's out too! Know better for next time. Never did a test like that so will definitely do practice tests next time!

There were 42 in the Verbal Reasoning. The dots test was effectively unlimited based on a 2 minute timeframe

So is the assessment for Dublin-based people on in Mullingar? In my self-centred world, I presumed it would be in Dublin! Anyway, no word here so won't be going anywhere by the looks of things.

You will be informed EITHER Way whether you got next round or not.. By FRIDAY... close of business.
Got that by email from enquiry....

  • Registered Users Posts: 34 bellatrix1

Has anyone heard anything?? Bit of a joke at this stage...how long does it take to inform people? Very surprised only three people on this forum recieved emails to go to assessment centre? I got to question 41...the majority of which i am confident i answered correctly and 1 wrong on dots test.
I was a govt driving tester already...trained by the RSA and went through this whole process already in the past.

Really surprised at lack of contact from an agency hired by a public body...also not happy with the fact these tests are done online...anyone could do them...impersonation etc. I done my aptitude and pyschometric tests in person when i was hired before!

  • Registered Users Posts: 74 ✭✭mollycasey

i agree my husband hasn't heard anything and he done what he thought was pretty well on the tests....it would be nice to know whether or witch!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 Watchclub

Heard nothing at all. I rang this morn and they said everyone will hear by close of business today, not good enough for def....terrible long wait.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8 De Plank

100% agree,... looks like they waiting to see how many book in for assessment day and then decide how many more they need, as lots just do the online out of curiosity with no intention of travelling to test centre. So today @ 1657hrs somebody will press the send button.
BTW..how did ya get to 41 questions, that's about 17 secs per question, are you a member of Mensa ;)

I am a speed reader. Very quick at finding the info required on the text in the test. But then again speed reading does not mean you are a good driver tester.

  • Registered Users Posts: 74 ✭✭mollycasey

    No email here!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 Watchclub

    Me either

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 Treboer1978

The ones that didn’t get an email inviting them to the test centre are going straight to interview due to their over average extremely high scoring in the tests. YEAH RIGHT, Would be the finest though.

Maybe it’s time for the RSA to ditch this recruitment crowd as there’s nothing but complaints about how they process and handle applicants assessments.

  • Registered Users Posts: 521 ✭✭✭Bargain_Hound

FYI for those who are eagerly waiting, I didn't complete the assessment as I decided to pull out due a change in circumstances, but I received an e-mail today saying they will not be progressing my application.
