Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

September was muck in this locality and October started the same. Yet this morning is stunning. Cloudless sky and sunshine.

I'm looking forward to some balmy weather in the coming week, MetE predicting 19c for next Wed and I think a couple of degrees could be added on to that in the Dublin area if the high ground breaks up the cloud.
I wouldn't mind two months of charts like this before a PROPER winter in Jan and Feb - keep the bills down!

The high pressure to our east looks like having more of an influence on our weather than initially expected last week.

However, it would not take too much for that to swing back towards low pressure.

Looking mostly dry in the east until Wednesday night though.

    Stunning autumnal morning

Lovely morning today. Temperatures are set to drop to freezing this weekend!? Hard to believe storm season has already started before October! Hopefully our Autumn be calm. Not looking forward to the Winter if anything if early in the year was anything to go by.

Cloudy in Cork City but dry. About 13 degrees but feels colder in the breeze.

Last night had to have the stove on, and it was also the first night we have had to turn on the electric blankets in bed! Such a difference to three months ago where I had to sleep outside the covers with the windows open :)

The wind is deadly out there! Very strong gusts. Weather to be lovely on Wednesday at the moment. Rain for Thursday and Friday. A new storm could be brewing or is that Leslie on its ways as seen out near Atlantic. Dry all day here at least.

One of those autumn paradoxes - yesterday was very cold but a lot more lovely of a day than the mild day today.

The wind in Dublin is making it feel a lot less mild than it was supposed to be, and the completely overcast nature makes it drearier.

Hasn't been especially windy here other than a few hours yesterday late afternoon, Carrickfinn Airport nearby maxed at around 70kph gusts. Just generally been horrible though, pouring rain constantly with mist and low visibility.

Some good sunshine and calm weather last week in Kildare/Dublin, such a contrast compared to up here

Warnings of heavy rain and force 8 gales until tomorrow pm and for the last 48 hours and connections here flickering.

    The noise is incredible
