Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have an LG Oled and have to use a DNS service like Getflix use the app on my phone and change the DNS on the TV network settings. Works fine for BBC Iplayer, it did work for US Netflix but has stopped working recently also with the Disney app on the TV it's stuttering and freezing for some reason

I have the same issue, the Iplayer app doesnt play nice with VPNs - if you download the Firefox App from the App store and navigate to BBC Iplayer site with the VPN on it works fine - a tad annoying but best solution Ive found.

I've Getflix (using smart dns) about a month & have never been able to get it to switch to US Netflix. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong on my end. I'm on a firestick 4k.

Works constantly on US, no issues.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,189 ✭✭✭ThePott

Yeah American I can get to work, none of the others though.
Not sure if this was always the case, I'm sure I had Canada at the very least working before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,575 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

Canada and UK work for me too on keepsolid. I leave it on us be default as the quality isn't downgraded.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,189 ✭✭✭ThePott

Have you got any other regions to work?
Was being cheeky trying to watch something in Australia yesterday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,575 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

I don't have anything on firestick that requires Oz.

I just meant the Netflix Oz library

I was having no luck with Netflix US or Hulu until somebody (on here I think)
said to turn of ipv6- did the trick. I am using Nvidia Shield but I imagine it shouldn't matter what device.

    I'm using KeepSolid too

  • Registered Users Posts: 367 ✭✭teflon

Had a keepsolid vpn but couldn't get us netflix to work on fire stick. I let it lapse then but am looking for a decent vpn that will allow me to watch US or Canadian netflix on the fire tv stick.

    Any recommendations folks. PLEASE.

    Keepsolid is showing as $59.99usd

    Thanks again.

Never had a problem with US netflix on firestick with keepsolid. Did you use "Streaming" server on the bottom of the list or just random US one?

They have it for 39 $ for a lifetime here:

    https://stacksocial.com/sales/vpn-unlimited-lifetime-subscription

Also try FLASHSAVE15 or STACKUP10 for additional discount. Some buyers reported paypal payment giving extra 10% off as well.

Random US ones won't work, it must be the netflix one.

Massive amount more on US one (theres a small few things that are not on US one but on UK one). Plus you get full quality unlike europe netflix at moment.
My keepsolid on firestick always works for US. The netflix one works for disney, crackle, pluto etc.

Do I just open netflix app and login as normal once I'm connected to the us netflix vpn on keepsolid?

Netflix automatically connects to the country it thinks you are in.

Is Keepsolid the way to go in terms of value and performance at the moment?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,354 ✭✭✭coldfire1x

If you are into casual streaming and all, its a good value.

You have got the best price possible. You cant get much wrong for €14.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭Technocentral

I had Zenmate trial, Keepsolid is faster on the iplayer test I just did, loads programmes faster and spools to HD faster, delighted with purchase.

Keepsolid works great for UK and US. 2 years ago it was glitchy but no bother in the past year. I can get 20Mb down using it so plenty of speed for streaming.

Just got 52mb down on speed test using US server.

When you are streaming from UK or US, select the streaming server for that region (not any other server).

Working perfectly as we speak. No issues last few days on Netflix. You sure you're using streaming one?

I don't have HBO, the post you quoted was in reference to imdb tv. You can watch that via the hulu server, its free but with adds. There is not a great deal of content but might be something of interest. There is another app called tubi which has much more to offer.

    Hi all,

Have been trying to get this deal for days. I am using Revolut. It keeps throwing up zipcode issues and not allowing the transaction. I am paying in $ and have sufficient credit. Anybody else use this to buy the deal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭Technocentral

Edit: Netflix and BBC iplayer working now.

Even if it went out of business in 2 months 7 euros a month is a bargain. 🙂
