Yeah, astonishing what they get away with in a country that can often see you get shot for so little.

You can find the specific protest in the following linked to Twitter thread (about seven tweets down):

I have never heard had that phrase before in my life. Every day’s a school day.

So now that clear, you want to see police violently arrest someone for a non violent protest?

Can you post a link. I imagine whatever alt right forum you found this on will do.

As suspected a completely non violent act of protest. You’d happily someone arrested forcefully for this?

    Yes.

Do you really want a world where the "powers that be" are in total control and beyond reproach, and no one is allowed to say anything to the contrary!

    Complete nut jobs..

Their hypocrisy is off the charts but they lack the self awareness to see it. They’re a bunch of spoilt brats who think the world owes the something.

We’re not a million miles away from that nonsense here. We certainly have plenty of evidence of the herd mentality largely driven by addiction to social media.

These people just love a good cause to get outraged by.

They love to be outraged alright. You 2 seem to have that in common though. You don’t see any irony in being outraged about people being outraged?

I find all the outrage tiresome.

Far-right militants in Ukraine have disrupted a march by transgender activists in the capital Kiev.
Two young women were attacked - and then mocked as they received medical attention. Canadian journalist Michael Colborne was punched in the face.
Another reporter said police officers manhandled the activists and did nothing to stop the far-right throwing smoke bombs. They deny the charge.
Homophobia is still commonplace in post-Soviet Ukraine, analysts say.

It appears that the counter protest had the upper hand and apparently lighter policing than the main protest.

Some governments appear to be selective in what protests they will allow to be made unhindered.

A great film on netflix that shows this called "meeting the far right" on netflix, involves a muslim woman going to meet far right groups in the deep south of the US, and the only violence that occurs is when she marches with the far right groups and gets attacked and maced by a group of antifa protestors.

Whatever your left or right views, there's no need for that!

OP is mistaken about one thing in particular: the housing market. There are things going on there that go way beyond basics such as supply and demand, and you cannot lay the blame at the foot of the individual buyer.

The housing bubbles of this century did not happen because of supply and demand, they were the result of the financialisation of residential property. Investment banks created financial vehicles that allowed investors to treat it as any other investment, of interest solely as a way of getting out more money than you put in. It meant that money flowed in to that market, chasing higher returns than investors could get in other markets - and so prices went up regardless of actual supply considerations. Sub-prime lending was part of this: it was allowed because banks could sell more mortgages and could charge higher rates as they did.

Fixing the housing market is going to take a bit more than expecting individual house buyers to “cop on” and do without the occasional iPhone.

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

That's wrong on all accounts, left wing/liberal groups and right wing/conservative groups should equally have the same right to protest and hold their own views but neither should be allowed to attack the other.

Yes the right to peaceful protest without harassment was sorely lacking there.

Because he was waving his arse in cops' faces (and also calling them pigs) whilst they were just standing there trying to do their jobs. Absofcukinglutely he should have been arrested.

Bare arses seem to be allowed in the Beautiful Women thread so should be fine posting it on reflection.

By the way, I'd feel the same no matter what he was protesting. Even if it was for a cause I support. He's a scumbag no matter what his political objectives are as far as I'm concerned. Not the case with you though is it, Brian, as your opinion changes based on who it is that's being wronged, as here you are effectively supporting someone being assaulted during an interview:

Punching people is wrong. Seeing a neo nazi punched, hilarious.

So it's a bit fcuking rich of you for you to be on here whinging about someone saying that a protester should be arrested for mooning and abusing cops (aka: "peaceful protest") when you yourself endorse those who you don't agree with getting punched in the face.

So you believe arse waving deserves a violent response? Is this true on all occasions arses are waved?

You said you’d take pleasure in seeing him with a cops knee in his back. Not just arrested. I’m fascinated by the fact you think this is ok.

I don’t support anyone being assaulted. Ever. By cops, by Antifa or by neo Nazis. Ever, by anyone.

You’re happy to see the police assault people. Why does the state get a pass on commuting violence for you?

I never endorsed violence against anyone. I thought it he particular instance seeing Richard Spencer being punched was pretty hilarious. He’s an odious man. Why it turns out was abusing his wife.

It’s particularly underhanded to quote a single line from a different thread to try and win an argument.

Hah? I think it’s funny when a wife beating Neo Nazi gets punched in the ear while spouting complete sh1te and it’s exposed everyone on the left? Bejaysus that’s some leap.

You never mentioned wife beating in the prior quote, just neo nazi.
It's a good example of the dichotomy that the liberal left has, it masquerades as "inclusion" but in reality it just changes what is ok from what I deem it to be, to what you deem it to be.

Oh yeah,as long as it's"sticking it to the libtards" it's ok, isn't it?
Well, thank god for the right, that they're so bravely standing up to equal rights and protecting the environment, we're all wishing for a time where a man would do the work, a woman would stay home, pop out kids, clean and cook and keep her mouth shut and fags and n*****s would know where they stood, i.e. silently in the corner.
Really, what a horrible world of inclusion and a better future those horrible lefties had planned, so glad that knuckledragging Neanderthals have arrived to the rescue with the new right.

Well as a yes to LGBT marriage and repeal voter, along with EV owner I don't fall in either of those batches

See above re LGBT vote, I'm also a staunch atheist and believe in equal rights for all. So actually none of that poor attempt at satiric drivel describes exactly 0% of me or my beliefs or opinions.

You have the democratic right to protest according the left if you're protesting about gender issues, housing issues, discrimination issues, abortion issues etc. But it's not at all okay if you want to protest against immigration issues, refugee issues or Islam issues as you're a sick racist nazi if you do that.

Or if someone organises a himtoo rally to highlight false accusations against men, Antifa types will turn & chants " nazis go home " as to how highlighting false accusations is relevant to nazism is beyond me- but another example of left wing protesters of loosely thrown labels around.
