Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've asked this before, but what mental illness do these "leftist creeps" have?

I somehow doubt that you'll get a rational answer to that question from Mr Pumpkin...
I don't get this whole "yeah but he's crazy because he believes this one odd thing/thing I don't agree with" thing that some users here have.

Yer Da sells Avon is not rational enough to see clear scenes of mental illness in a video clip I posted.

RTE should give him a chat show - The Hate Hate Show.

Not really, it's a pattern of believing conflicting things.
Not listening to any civilized arguments - just trying to muscle the person out of the area and blocking cameras.

I mentioned it in the Gemma O'Doherty thread. She believes crazy things but it doesn't mean she's crazy. I'm sure a lot of the people we see like Rowan Croft might be nice to meet in a pub so long as they don't talk politics.

The problem is that their "politics" isn't rational. It involves conspiracy theories and quite often racism.

many people believe crap like this, from anti vaxxers, to alternative therapies, to the very religious etc. Their beliefs aren't based on a rational interpretation of facts. And they tend to see opposition to them as part of the actual conspiracy. If you're not anti refugee / anti vax / anti medicine / secular then you must be benefiting from it or you've been brain washed.

I don't debate anything you say there, all I'm saying is that he commits fully to what he believes in. That's not a mental health thing :)
A rational run of the mill conversation can be had with him besides what you see on his channel or in the looney side of media. :)

He has an Irexit conference on his channel. About 15 people in the audience at the conference. Apparently the health service, people on trolleys, suicide, mental health issues, immigration and fluoride in drinking water are all the EU's fault.

And the description has 7 different ways to give money to Rowan Croft.

I direct you to the post directly above yours. That's what happens when we both reply at the same time.

Although, I would disagree with you when you said committing fully isn't a mental health issue. It could be. If he believes in something factually false and demonstratable untrue, and commits to it, it could be a sign of some kind of mental illness. I'm not saying he is mentally unwell, I'm just saying that committing fully doesn't disprove anything.

This gran Torino guy demonstrably has extreme beliefs. If you only think one of them is so, it is because you agree with the other extreme beliefs. Which means you hold some extreme beliefs.

If your only response to that is a personal attack on someone, let's just say it doesn't really do much to disprove their assertion.

    Two things:

1: The comment "extreme views" is rhetoric. It's meant to dismiss the lad making the comment, rather than address the comment itself, which is that, despite Torino's views on certain things, he has done good work; some great interviews and filming the migrant scandals that are occurring across the country.

2: Winny addressed me. He didn't have to. Otherwise I wouldn't have replied to him. Also he has a record of calling multiple posters who didn't agree with him: snivelling little shìts.

    What's he done wrong exactly?

Yesterday Varadkar said we should welcome back isis fighters.

Surely we need some balance here to stop idiocy like the above?

That woman in the Rooksey video who kept touching him clearly doesn't know the definition of common assault. Kept it cool, though.

This type of post typifies all that is irritating about these alt right types. Disingenuous claims, Varadkar said nothing like that, then go annoying people, getting in their faces to provoke a reaction. Then cry and claim assault when someone stands up to them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 92 ✭✭corminators

But sure if he did the same thing like keep touching then he'd be done for it. Aggressive behavior by lefties is ok?

And Varadkar should do everything he can to stop isis fighters coming back including canceling their passports of they have other citizenship. You know, basic state security stuff.

I'm sure Gran Torino has a view on the above. Must check out his channel.

Unfortunately the majority of journalism in this country is controlled by one individual. Surely you are aware of this?

That's why we need people like Gran Torino out there on the ground asking the questions, covering events live and rattling cages.

Otherwise we'd be overrun with immigrants because quite a lot of people make lot of money from feeding/housing/clothing/educating/defending them inncourt so of course they want to keep the cash flowing by importing more.

What's most interesting is that Rowan Croft was in the British Army for years. He obviously doesn't like to advertise it, it doesn't go well with his 'Keep Ireland for the Irish' mantra.
