Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cream is on his way home from a day in the vets having his teeth cleaned, we normally get him a dental every year but with the way things planned out this year we were late getting it and the poor scut ended up with gingivitis again
hopefully he will be a lot happier when he’s home with his shiny new gnashers 
Is it bad that I think he’s cutest when he’s coming around after anaesthetic? He’s so dopey and lovable :pac:0 -

God Lucy was fine when she was spayed - it was a novelty for me to go and collect a dog who had to be woken up to go home compared to Bailey's 'TAKE ME HOME' barking the moment I walk in the door. She strolled home and went to bed and not a bother on her

The one time I had to leave my wee dog with the vet a few hours, when I got the poor man was in bits.. " She is terrified!"
He had sedated her while I was still with her and I heard her yelling when I went to the car but 2 old ladies said how good he was with the dogs
Wee dog was cowering at the back of the pen. As soon as she saw me all was well.0 -

I know, Esmae was great when I collected her, she was completely knocked out and was reversed while I was there as she freaks out & becomes a demon the minute someone she doesn’t recognise tries to touch her. So I was there and she stuck her little snout into her tiny Baskerville and bore holes into the nurse with her eyes...
She’s is somewhat better form today but not entirely.0 -

Agree. When it was suggested I do this for both dogs when they had been spayed I was horrified but in fact it was very very easy. Even for me :eek:

I always pick DPD and find them faster than DHL/An Post and would get it in about 4 days! It depends on the depots near you though
Yea it's DPD I go for too, driver in our area is great, not alone do we get the email but he always rings first to see if we're around.
But I've always used DPD & the previous packages took so much longer. Maybe I hit them on bad days 0 -

Walking the cats.. They are a treasure. I use a walking stick and the smallest decided to play with it, pouncing at every step.
Watching them play on the seaweed banks as the tide is out.. then getting left behind and the sheer speed of the chase.

Cats!
Ive never had cats (my mother disliked them and 'taught' us to dislike them growing up) - but since Ive got two ex-ferals Im a total cat slave.
Second arrival was half dead, skeletal, feral when she arrived. Took 6 months of feeding her several times/day, sitting close to her while she ate, before she even let me touch her. Now shes fat (well actually obese), totally tame, lives in the house, and is the BEST cat on the planet Because of her horrendous start in life, I refuse her nothing (shes about 4 years old, the vets reckoned) - but the little maggot is now getting fussy about her food :( Our first arrival - beautiful long haired tuxedo, found as a tiny kitten, has always been very very fussy - no real interest in food - only best quality catfood, tuna, probiotic yogurt, and nothing else - literally. Now fatty cat is pulling the same stunt - though she will eat any meat. What are you all feeding your cats. Raw chicken I thought would be good for fatty cat, but she prefers cooked please. Anything else to feed her - looking for suggestions/ideas please (and if it might tempt fussy cat all the better) 0 -
I followed fatty cats story, what a triumph to get her to this!
She is totally manipulating you, with a history and appetite like hers, she should eat anything that comes her way. My advice is hold firm and she won’t deprive herself of food when hungry

Fussy cat ? Not here. One of my three tried that and now eats the same as the others. despite the wide, anguished eyes and utterly pathetic wails... Loves her food now.. five cats on a small pension and no access to shops is enough without special food for me or them!0 -
