Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For smart people they're a bit stupid, could nab a handy 10 grand if they wanted, ego seemed to play a part

    Def in that last case.

Does the beast have a buzzer? Doesnt seem to answer a lot of questions.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,038 ✭✭✭rapul

If everyone just went for either what they earned or the 3 chasers nobody would loose, some of the offers aren't great either it's mad how they vary doesn't seem to make sense

The Dark Destroyer answers far less from what I can see.

    What drama there though!

The sceptic in me says it was a bit too well timed..

    .. but great telly nonetheless.

Proper event quiz show like 'Millionaire' in it's prime.

Beast did get in a couple of times there but to no avail. Enjoyed that.

Have to agree with it being a bit too convenient. When I saw that the time was 9.52 I said to the wife that this is the last one of the series, she’s gonna get the big win. I wonder if they edited the best win to be last or something.

Having said that I really enjoyed the show and totally agree that it had that Millionaire view and great tv.

I definitely think that the Chasers are throwing some of the questions similar to on the Celebrity version.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,089 ✭✭✭Happy4all

Yep a bit cynical about final contestant with the big win to sign off the week. The chasers got way too many wrong to be true.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,680 ✭✭✭TheChrisD

Lads, this series wasn't recorded in the blocks that they were broadcast in. They did play around with the broadcast order of games in editing, so it only makes sense that after this win the producers decided "hey, this'll be the last one of the run; so go record some ending spiel".

i've been reading some of tweets put out by Paul and Mark. Somebody that was in the audience at the filming of the final episode mentioned that he saw two contestants being filmed taking part in the episode that weren't shown on the last nights episode and asked Mark about them being cut, to which he agreed.

Also Paul made a point of thanking the editing team in a tweet last night too. So as the posters above were saying about the convenience of the last contestant winning the big one, realistically, she may in fact have actually been the second or third contestant playing that night but the editing team decided to put her win in as the last segment - in order words "let's finish off the series with a bang"

Not watching, I'll catch up later hopefully - but I remember Jenny being like a rabbit in headlights when she started out. They all settle into it in time.

He seems to be a bit nervous.

It will probably take a few episodes to get settled in. He seems good enough anyway.

For those who missed it on ITV today, it's showing on V1 tomorrow at 2!

Thank you! Will set to sky+

Is 2pm on virgin media the ‘newest’ episode time in Ireland? (Assuming it’s def the 2pm one and not 1pm)

So they're now only a day behind itv? And show the new episodes at 2pm. Who does the scheduling there?

Darragh Ennis will also be a guest on Elaine on Virgin Media One at 3 pm today.

I don't know what's going on, but from what I can ascertain from the Sky schedule V1 now have the rights to Series 13, and they are going to start showing it in the 2pm slot. Where possible they will match ITV.

I can't find it on the Virgin Media Catch Up on Sky.

Is it only on catch up on Virgin?

Questions on Danny le Rue and Dame Edna Everage in the one show, the Beast even commented on it. must be some sort of agenda they're pushing...

It's very common for the Chaser and the team to get questions that mirror each other in the final chase ( assume this happen in the final chase, I didn't see it).
Not sure what agenda they could be pushing?

    'Diversity' ...

Ah no, I'm only having a laugh. Funny to have two questions on drag acts during the one show though

Why does Bradley refer to the team going up against the Chasers as 'My Team'? Doesn't make sense.

Doesn't he allude to building a team to beat The Chasers?

Side note - I've only seen Darragh Ennis play once or twice but he's very strong and consistent. Zero personality but impressive knowledge.

Not sure how he builds the team though.

Darragh Ennis was on Dave Fanning recently on 2fm and he came across very well. Might take him a while to build a personality

The very same reason he calls a contestant "a great player" when they get knocked out after compiling only a couple of grand in the cash builder.

    Pleasantries.
