1 Under 1.5 UFC - Conor McGregor v Dennis Siver
(Total Rounds) 19/01/2015 None 4/7 To Run Confidence: 4.9/5

2 Norman Parke UFC - Norman Parke v Gleison Tibau
(To Win Fight) 19/01/2015 None 5/4 To Run Confidence: 3.0/5

3 Patrick Holohan UFC - Patrick Holohan v Shane Howell
(To Win Fight) 19/01/2015 None 1/3 To Run Confidence: 3.9/5

4 Donald Cerrone UFC - Donald Cerrone v Benson Henderson
(To Win Fight) 19/01/2015 None 6/5 To Run Confidence: 2.6/5

5 Chris Wade UFC - Zhang Lipeng v Chris Wade
(To Win Fight) 19/01/2015 None 2/11 To Run Confidence: 4.1/5
    [/B]
6 Uriah Hall UFC - Uriah Hall v Ron Stallings
(To Win Fight) 19/01/2015 None 1/10 To Run Confidence: 4.7/5

Hold thing comes in at about 12.5/1 - I stuck 5 on it, returns 61. Fairly confident about most results as you can see, although Cerrone/Hendo could go either way, and Norman Parke will have to be at his very very best to win.

Technically Siver has a slim chance because yes hes in the octagon but is that chance worth wasting money on, for me no. People can bet whatever way they choose but I would rather use 20 euro on another bet than waste it (again imo) on betting on siver. There are plenty of other fights where I would bet against the favourite but not this one.
I'm not saying he is worth betting on. He isn't. I'm saying that there's a slim chance. And imo, Conor isn't too short for value. 1/10 is ridiculous for him here. He's a massive favourite, but he isn't the 90%+ needed to justify the odds.

Doing a 12 Fight Accumulator with PP.. more for the craic than anything.

I have to win Sanchez, Van Burren, Rosa, Case, Holohan, Wade, Howard, Pendred, Parke, Hall, Henderson and of course McGregor..

    €5 will return €2100

    Stranger things have happened..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,438 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

I had €1.07 left in my PP account so I stuck it on a longshot accum for the craic.
    It returns something like €250,000

    I can dream! :D

I can never remember being offered odds by a bookie on the time of the first round that a guy wins in. It's remarkable.

A good outside bet is Siver most take downs 13/2 on the off chance he gets 1,GOAT wont shoot for one so just the one take down could see you collect here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 817 ✭✭✭ronanc1000

    I have

    Rosa
    Case
    Holohan
    Howard
McGregor to win to Round 1.

€10 Acca. Plus I put the same bet of the above on with €5 during the week but added Shaun Murphy to win the Masters which he did.
Beginners luck. Would last long. Feel Conor will let me down with a Rd 2 ko I think. Hope not, both conor and his coach think Round 1, maybe a head kick too.

    2 bets, fingers crossed :)

    £5 (just over 3/1)
    McGregor 1/12
    Tibau @ 8/11
    Holohan @ 3/10
    Rosa @ 8/11

    £10 (just over 15/1)
    As above with
    Howard @ 5/4
    Henderson @ 8/11

Good luck everyone, except those with picks against me :D Lets hope for a good night of fights and all the boys from the south win!

Took Rosa win and Paddy Sub.

Same as this. 3 accumolaters done.

Two novelty bets of 2.50 on siver to win in the 2nd or 3rd at stupid odds.

I had pendred, case, holohan, hall, cerrone, mcgregor and jake shields from Friday night. Worked out about 6/1 or so, lashed the remaining €5.16 in my account on it.

    Edit: was lucky with Cathal

Hall, Rosa, Spencer, Henderson and Tibau all to win at around 8/1.

I thought Bendo and Spender especially were dodgy decisions. I would have been more cheesed off if it was the Pendred fight alone that lost me the bet, that was shocking judging.

Well can't be too disappointed when finishing the night ahead but slightly p*ssed that put wrong amounts in each bet but ahwell :D Thought Howard would have put a better showing than what he did & thought Bendo won but relieved I decided to split the bet & got the 2 defeats in same bet lol

it's not inconceivable that siver makes it to the second round surely?
I would pick round one if I had a choice but I think its possible siver makes
it past round one and at 4/1 v 4/6 I think it "might" be worth chancing

I'll toss a coin on it I think

Forgive me for aftertiming but won the first ever MMA bet I placed last night.

    25ajeyw.png

Only put it on as an interest bet to ensure I got up for the fight but when the alarm went off at 5am I could not be arsed! Glad to see Conor winning although I was banking on making a trip home in the summer for a Croke Park Aldo fight. Might still head to Vegas though, it will be hyped more than any fight in recent years...

    Rosa
    Holohan
    Case
    All served me well.
Until Howard was battered. And as I said two days ago here, I felt mcgregor was going to let me down with a Rd 2 win instead of my first round prediction. Fun anyway. Holohan was impressive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,881 ✭✭✭Easy Rod

Decent money made on the forum with this card from the sounds of things. I'm after timing and also not screenshotting but won my accumulator of rosa, paddy, hall, cerrone and mcgregor by ko and then a double of cerrone and rosa.

Cerrone slightly controversial win makes it even sweeter!

Ive tried a few times for mma and can never get it.

I had a 30/1 accum let down by cowboy gettin the decision over benson.

Wouldn't be so confident. If we take away the fact that Conor is Irish and we might want him to win for that reason, its very dangerous betting against a guy that has walked through the division. Most of what he's fought are the top ten in the world and they are tough dudes.

Conor is a southpaw. Aldo's biggest weapon has been and will probably always be his outside low kick. Which is now going to the inside a much easier kick to check or ride. Also Aldo's favorite punch, that long almost shot put right hand, which he sets up with his left is going to be a lot harder to land due to having his lead stuffed by the southpaw. I'm not saying Aldo can't overcome these things and win but the only southpaw I can recall him fighting was Florian. Who was old, not a great striker and cutting way too much weight not to mention trying to wrestle. And Aldo's striking looked less than impressive against Florian a guy he should have destroyed.

boyles gave me a free 20 bet

stuck it on amirkhani by sub at 7/2 (9/2 available elsewhere)
amir likes subs...8 of 10 wins by sub
seen him in action and i have to say I was impressed but by the same
token I am eager to take on ogle especially when odds on
reckin he might be getting his p45 after this one

did three small bets on the big fight (odds taken this morning)
    gus by pts 9/2 fred
    rumble decision 17/2 888
    rumble ko 15/2 ladrokes

just felt the odds were too big on those

I think it'll one of those three outcomes, Ive never seen rumble in any
kind of trouble even against heavyweights so I'm ruling out the gus ko.
I'm banking on gus keeping it standing so am kinda ruling out the sub but the latter rounds are the big worry with rumble in my opinion and if gus tries to take it to the ground then it could be bad news although saying that phil davis couldn't get near rumble..never mind take him down
The rumble ko may be a bit much to ask for as I think he'll fight sensibly for five as opposed to trying to take off gustafssons head

I have a feeling he won't fail in any department myself and will make the most
of this opportunity and think if he fails it will be on pts
I really like rumble as a fighter and some of it may be down to faith in
him alone but I just have a really good feeling about him
I do think 9/4 for the win is an insult to him

I see some bookies are as low as 5/4 for gus ko
I'll be honest and say I really can't see it yet I dont underestimate gus
    in the slightest
that imo is a shocking price

and the bets that always lose
    mousasi ko/tko
    amirkhani sub
gus/aj fight to go to decision
    56/1

    mousasi round two
    amirkhani round two
    gus/aj to go to decision
    156/1

I have a feeling itll be a bad night for sweden and am also tempted to take on musoke and corrasini

Its gonna be a good night for Russia :D Tumenov and Erokhin will get KO's I think. Might have a bet on this guy amirkhani then, just had a look at him, first fight in the UFC. But Ogle would have trouble beating Snarf if you put him in there, so by sub is a decent bet, maybe points given his last two fights.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,515 ✭✭✭Hoki

Ive backed Amirkhani by submission also - he's somewhat of a submission specialist judging by his record . Point of caution though , as bad as Ogle is, he has been training at Team Alpha Male since the end of the Summer so whether that has any bearing on matters remains to be seen.

My low stake high reward accumulator is :

    Amirkhani by Sub @ 9/2
    Krylov by Sub @ 17/2
    Erokhin by KO @ 4/7
    Bektic by Sub @ 3/1

Also have a few bob on :

    Beal @ 8/15
    Aliev @ 5/6
    Musoke @ 11/10
    Amirkhani @ 11/10

Have done single bets involving some of the above also.

he can't be those odds really

    treble with
    amirkhani
    tumenov
    sicilia
    7/1

    9fold (31/1)
    Makwan Amirkhani @ 13/10

rumble on the drift all day
    3.92 now on matchbook

mousasi was 4/11 last weekend...best at 2/9 now and as low
    as 1/7
I can see why though and 4/11 was a big price imo
