I would be interested in the views of others before I part with my 50 euro.

The MBS is for either fighter to finish in the first. A most of Brandao chance to win is in the first so, betting on him removes some of the value from the offer.

I'd go with a bet that opposes the MBS, say for the fight to go five rounds,
You get money back if it's snubbed in the first, and once it enters the second a decision is significantly more likely.

If you have a BF account, you could lay the decision after the first round to freeroll the bet.

Or you could bet on over 2.5/1.5 rds (PP), that way the window where you lose money is pretty small.

IMO the better value would be backing conor in the 2/3rd round to win. If he finishes him in the first then you get your money back.

Boykes dint have that market, but PP do and they have the same special

Yeah i just seen it there, win in round 2 @5.5/1 is decent enough especially with the MBS, Round three with brandaos cardio looks even better @8/1

Powers special only applies to method of victory market i.e. will it be a KO/TKO/Submission etc. It does not apply to round betting or to outright betting. Also it's money back as a stake non-refundable free bet and not just cash like Boyles.

Anyone know if PP or Bet365 will have an option to pick McGregor by TKO in the second round or anything like that? Its not on either site as of yet anyways

mc gregor round 2 11/2 is as close as you'll get

    paddy

bet365 useless when it comes to mma

Id have it the opposite way around, if he doesnt finish conor in the first round unless hes massively improved his cardio then the odds are in conors favour for the later rounds. IMO the better value would be backing conor in the 2/3rd round to win. If he finishes him in the first then you get your money back.

    Exactly how I see it
brandao will be a spent force by the 4th round if not sooner
mc gregor will be in the shape of his life to put on a show

all are going 2/1 mcgregor first round except paddy at 3/1

2/1 a shocking price for that, brandao better than that imo

think round 3 at 8/1 and round 4 at 14/1 is a bit of value but saying
that, if the first three rounds go according to plan he might cruise
    to a decision
It's one I'd rather watch though then get too involved with bettingwise

Conor will 10000000% beat brandao, he looked sluggish in his open workout, i know that means nothing but after 5 minutes he was breathing heavish and overall seemed so slow compared to conor who more or less glided through the octagon!

Im going to be going for a second round KO but i can see it being ended early.

Originally decided on Lineker, Story, Barboza and Cerrone, but that was just paying over 2/1, so put in Barboza to win by decision instead, which made it 8/1

Had the same multi but it was paying 3.5/1 with sportsbet

Brandao wont win in the latr rounds, not a chance. Round one is realistically his only chance in my opinion.

Iv gone for this, 45/1 so tasty returns.

What are peoples thoughts on Zak Cummings causing an upset?

I was contemplating putting a side bet on Zak and Brando for the off chance of a double upset or an accumulator with zak... Odds are worth throwing a tenner on with a few favorites it think.

I don't think Zak has a chance IMO, I'd rate gunni higher than id rate Conor, he has all the ability to be champion and more!

    couldnt agree more
over a year ago I thought khabib nurma was the hottest
prospect out there and so far he hasnt been tested
same goes for gunni now imo, sky is the limit
Think they could have given gunni a tougher test myself

From talking to seery he wants the ko, chin down march forward. Brad P was a much much tougher task than Harris and it was a very close decision loss imo. He will have to much for harris who isnt UFC standard... i hope :pac:

Brad P is 5/1 to get a performance bonus which is tasty, i can see him and McCall getting FOTN.

anyone got any opinions on pickett mcall?

first thought is that pickett is too big at 6/4 but also thinking
mcall could win a very lopsided decision given he's gone the
distance with mighty mouse twice (possibly winning one) cruz
and benevidez and might be too technical for pickett

mind was made up weeks ago about backing pickett but having
    second thoughts now
wise move might be to stay away altogether or take a smaller
bet on pickett pts at 5/2 maybe

I can't see Dana giving anything but the main event FOTN.

I'd certainly bank on some sort of bonus to either McGregor/Brandao or both.

I have Pendred & Parke on points in an accumulator with Seery and Troeng. 10er gives me 121 back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,430 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

Strongly thinking about doing this accumulator.

    Paddy Holohan
    Cathal Pendred
    Neil Seery
    Norman Parke
    Ian McCall
    Gunnar Nelson by sub
    Conor McGregor

    €50 pays over €1700.

Don't bet often, but thought it'd add some spice for being there tonight :)

    I've the following bets:

    Irish Bet
    Conor
    Gunni
    Cathal
    Neil
    Paddy
    - All to win. €10 pays €103

    Method of Victory
    Conor by KO
    Gunni by Sub
    McCall by KO
    Neil by KO
    - €5 pays €673

    Favorites Bet
    Conor
    Gunni
    McCall
    Parke
    Latifi
    Seery
    Pendred
    Troeng
    Sampo
    - €3 pays €74

    Pessimist
    Kotani
    King
    Harris
    Sampo
    - €12 Doubles Bet

Thought I was betting €2 instead of €12 on the Pessimist bet, wanted to play around with the remaining €10 but obviously made a balls of it :)

So... to try cover my losses a little I threw down this:

    Safest Bet
    Conor
    Gunni
    Parke
    McCall
    Seery
    Pendred
    Paddy
    - FourFold Bet. Need four to win. €7 bet returns €43 maximum

So yeah.... more than I've ever gambled, but sure we'll see how it goes :)
