Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Maciek. I noticed your SOTD on SRP earlier and never noticed you were in Ireland.

Your picture makes me want to buy some Swedish steel.

Hi.

First shave after three days. I've honed Mr. Boker and need shave test it with few days growth. I've finished it on a black stone which i couldn't identify. I must ask on SRP.
Result was a very mellow edge, it finish just like good coticule. Not very sharp but forgiving blade.

Razor: Heinrich Boker & Co.
Soap: Penhaligon "english fern"
After shave: that's a good one, classic polish after shave from 70's - "Brutal". Yep, i know that's very unusual name for aftershave
Brush: Simpsons Chubby.

She's a nice one all right, managed to score it off ebay for €52 inc. delivery. It probably would have gone for a lot more but the seller didn't have the size listed which might have put off a few bidders. One thing I love about this razor is it makes a lot of noise when shaving with it due to the size and it being very hollow. There's just something very satisfying about that sound compared to say a wedge for instance.

I've got a very hollow ground 7/8 as well. They do make a great noise when removing a few days worth of stubble.

That Revisor was my second straight razor. The first being one from whipped dog.

Definitely don't regret buying it. Kind of wish I had bought another though.

This one actually honed up really easily, it didn't take long surprisingly. I only wish all the older razors were that easy.

Razor Head: Mühle R106
Razor Handle: Parker 91R
Razor Blade: 'Gillette Green'
Shaving Cream: Monsavon
Shaving Brush: Wilkinson Budget Badger brush (under €5 retail)
After Shave: Royall Bay Rhum (Royal Lyme)

My routine doesn't change, this is it, day in, day out.. I alternate with 'Gillette Yellow', both rather sturdy, rigid, predictable blades.

It's pretty much the same technique but you just have to watch out for the spike like points on both ends of the razor.

They can be a little awkward when you first use them if you are used to razors with scales but it doesn't take long to get to grips with them.

I will have to have a go with one some day, well it's been added to the list anyway along with a Revisor razor.

I got it from here.

It's a glycerin based soap and it makes a pretty nice lather once you get the hang of it.

I'm not actually constantly using it because of my fondness for it, I'm using it because I want to start actually finishing products. I have so many products and I want to finish some before actually buying more stuff.
