Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There are rumours of a big announcement on the 11th of October, MOL impending retirement?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,019 ✭✭✭ct5amr2ig1nfhp

But in an order at 10.50, i fully expect to pick them up too.

will try to get in €11 myself

Just had a look at the 1 year share price graph. It's actually very poor and looking like the proverbial falling knife. Mid 11's should be support. If it doesn't bounce off that by a couple of euro shortly it might be worth sitting this out. the trend is not good.

Did he not just say recently he would stay beyond 2019?

Oct 11th interline announcement perhaps? They have been working at it for years now.

Really is turning into a bit of an unknown now. I got a few in the summer around the €14 mark and again this week at €11.60, happy to hold onto them for the long term.

Curious as to what Oct 11th brings

Any more on this? I haven't seen anything, they seem to be creeping back up now. I'm tempted to squeeze a bit more out of savings and into these - I usually keep my savings separate and speculate with spare cash

Reckon that all the downside of a no deal Brexit is priced into Ryanair's share price already? That any kind of deal/good news will result in a big jump in the share price?

A no deal Brexit definetly isn’t priced in , the reaction to the proposed deal about a week ago led to the stock dropping about 10% along with many other stocks exposed to brexit.

No way is it priced in.

Stock will go under 10 if there is no deal. Its an expensive stock.

Still sliding..tempted to get in this week at around the 10.20 mark. No deal brexit looking likely, so wiol it dip in the 9s??

I'll buy a few more if it drops below 10

Spotted Ryanair dipping again this morning, it is very tempting to have a little nibble :pac: I would say a no-deal Brexit is looking more UNLIKELY and there is going to be a mighty bounce in the SP when some kind of a fudge deal is announced.

I'm going to buy more, mainly to try and bring my break even point down. I think €19 was too high for the stock and I think €10.16 (what it was when I just checked) is too low. I'd imagine when an open skies agreement with the EU has been reached it'll bounce back. Just when to buy is the question. Will it dip below €10 if the deal is rejected tonight.

I'm hoping for somewhere in between the above values. around €15-16.

Not immediately, but over the next couple of years.

Mad to think that nearly 50% of the value has been wiped out in the last year and a half (was €19.42 in August 2017).

    Ryanair now at €10

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,506 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

Back up a little. My order is in for €9.99 and yet to be filled.
Its like buying one of their flights!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,717 ✭✭✭✭Geuze

I am very tempted, but I am nervous also.

I already own shares bought at under 4.00 years ago.

I believe in the company, I know all their advantages:

cheap debt, their bonds were issued at 1.125% and 1.75% I think
huge orders of aircraft = bulk buying discounts
single type of plane = low maintenance costs
    low costs overall
    wide profit margins

I realise their labour costs are rising now due to the IR/HR issues, but they still have a cost advantage.

    I am nervous..........

    Ryanair now at €10

Got a chunk myself at €10 today. I am going to stick my head on the block here and predict that regardless of what happens in Westminister tonight, Ryanair SP takes off (bad deliberate pun) tomorrow :p

Market cap in the €12bn range & forecasting profits north of €1bil

    Balance sheet looks good

I just can't see how this price is right but I'm not brave enough to put any more cash in.
I'm down about 20% & will leave ride for a few years

Right now you could buy them using Degiro

Well not exactly a rocket from the crypt....but up 1.5% nonetheless, soo my prediction was correct :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,512 ✭✭✭Wheety

Do you guys have money sitting in Degiro or whatever, ready to pounce? Or transfer when you see a good price?

I can't bring myself to use Trustly so I've to wait a couple of days for my money to transfer. Still not there yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,019 ✭✭✭ct5amr2ig1nfhp

If your funds haven't hit your DeGiro account within 3 working days, contact support. I suggest you ring them rather than email.

It's there now. bought more but missed 10.00. Ended up paying 10.19.

Never seem to get the low

But I know it might drop again. I hate this game :D

Not sure if you can do that on Degiro. too risky for me anyway. I'm not a big time investor. Just want to bring my break even point down on Ryanair and then hold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,173 ✭✭✭littlevillage

Can see this sliding to 9 EUR alright over the next few days.

Downgrade for Easyjet (Ryanairs' closest contemporary) today from Barclays soo Ryanair will be softer too.

Maybe fall into the €9's today....not going to ever go to €7.70 Beaner (Where did you even pull that number from??).

Michael O'Leary resigning will hit the share price for a few % when its annouced, but not 23% and besides thats not even being whispered about yet.

Lowers full year guidance this morning. Will surely dip under 10 today, though might rebound.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,512 ✭✭✭Wheety

I've put in a buy order at 9.50.

I dont want to clog up this thread but what is the importance of the break even point. Have some of ye bought shares when they were very expensive. Is there any where ye could direct me to get a quick fire course in this share business. I’ve 2 k that I’m willing and able to lose if things go wrong. Would like to experience the trill of it for a bit lol.
