At the risk of repeating myself, feck it, I don't care. It's important in these threads where there's a Russian interest.

The Kremlin lies not to convince people of the truth. It spews a firehose of falsehood.

The goal is to confuse. That's why you get so many conspiracy theories and inconsistent, contradictory narratives.

They don't care that the rest of the world doesn't believe them. It's obvious to those of us outside their media bubble. These lies are to confuse a domestic and willing audience.

"For the BBC and other mainstream media outlets to pretend that the OPCW has in any sense endorsed Boris Johnson’s claims about Russia is to spread deliberate lies as propaganda. In fact what they have confirmed is simply the finding of Porton Down – and that finding was that it is a chemical which cannot be confirmed as made in Russia."

    Which Craig Murray?

    Disgraced former diplomat Craig Murray?
The one who left his wife for an uzbeki stripper?
The one who exchanged sex for visas?
The one who works for wikileaks?
The one who claims that Russians weren't interfering in the US elections?
The one who claims that the DNC emails were given to him in a wooded area after they had already been released?

As already pointed out, this is a guy thinks "the Jews" pulled off the Skripal attack and he runs a blog

Also the appeal to authority: "former British Ambassador" doesn't mean anything if someone supports unsubstantiated conspiracy theories. There are plenty of ex (and even current) administration loons. Some think that Charlie Hebdo, or 911 or the Boston bombings were inside jobs, other's believe in more bizarre religious or alien stuff

"For the BBC and other mainstream media outlets to pretend that the OPCW has in any sense endorsed Boris Johnson’s claims about Russia is to spread deliberate lies as propaganda. The OPCW confirmed the UK findings. It was predicted multiple times right here on boards that if OPCW confirmed it, certain individuals would immediately try and discredit it

He was giving an opinion and he should have been allowed to finish. Even if he is just repeating Russian talking points.

Sky are a terrible "news" organisation anyway. Far too jingoistic. They were pretty bad in the run up to the Gulf war - as bad as the yanks.

There like the BBC. Pro war mouthpieces for the establishment and this just proves it.

Similar thing happening in this thread. Remember we working out of the Russian Dublin Embassy, we are Putinbots, anyone who appears on video disagreeing with the UK and US narrative is pushing Russian propaganda. People who think like that want a controlled society.

He did ramble but it did seem odd to cut him off. I know he was just spouting a russian talking point but it was shítty of sky. Then again, they aren't exactly renowned for being a good news station.

They clearly cut him off when he was going against the narrative. Blatant. It was 2.24pm when the interview was conducted they always go to ad breaks every 15 mins.

I don't think anyone believes that. The Russians posting here are Baltic Russians and there's also a few Irish who think they're "woke" with secret information provided by the Russian media that they think other Irish aren't aware of.

The Putinbot accusation likely comes from the fact that posts by some people are identical to other bots from other social media which gets into discussions earlier than boards.ie.

Doubtful. Sky news is a cráp news organisation like Russia Today. RT lying is like white bread.

Its the second most watched news station in Britain. Surely they have a duty to let the man have his opinion. The mask is slipping, its all pro war propaganda from them and the BBC.

So they apologised for the delay and got through part of the interview and cut to a break ,this is a regular occurrence on sky news .

Again this isn't russia people are free to speak openly .

Yes free to speak openly. Thats why Julian Assange is a prisoner in the Venezuelan embassy and Edward Snowden had to flee America for telling the public they were been illegally spied on by the Government.

Rape and sexual assault is not free speech

Snowden is a common garden thief who had delusions of being James bond 007 and all he ended up with was life stuck in Moscow

I know what it was. It was a false flag. Let's run with this. Let's pretend to be Russian for a second. Drink some Baltika 9, have a pickle and put your pelmeni on the hob and get the smetana out of the fridge. Channel your inner Russian. Here we go...

Why would Sky cut him off when they didn't need to have him on in the first place? They knew what he was going to say. I'm suggesting, as a Russian, remember, that they planned this to make it look like Russian talking points were being censored.

Now, why would they do this. Well, ah fúck it, you can make anything up when you think like this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

    His face says it all

Indeed. It just proves the media is censoring the other side of the story, the most plausible side infact. I remember a post a few weeks back I think on here where the Syrian government or else media found a chemical weapons makeshift factory in a house in rebel held territory. I must try find the pictures.

They cut a man off, they do it all the time, "sorry we have to cut you off there" is practically how every on-air interview ends on Sky. He's had other interviews and is a well known critic of the UK gov and Whitehall. They wouldn't have him on if they were pushing such a blatant agenda. Sky News is still trash, but they still have some standards.

Here he is on Sky in another interview
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orxCFIsAX_k

Of course if they had to cut this off, it would have been be appearing in the conspiracy feeds and no doubt make it's way here
