Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I only remembered that the other day, made me feel a bit better forking out the extra. Iv no doubt I would have smashed my series 0 by now in work if I had the ion x glass.

Just logged into my account and see mine has been dispatched, happy days

FYI: Ion x is more shatter resistant than sapphire. Sapphire is much more scratch resistant.

For anyone looking to buy one tomorrow Harvey Norman is worth a shot.

I have just checked their website & it is showing as in stock in most stores outside Dublin for collection tomorrow but it cannot be reserved online until 9.30 in the morning.

The reviews for the new watch seem to be almost universally positive this year, with most saying it was the biggest thing they’d announced at the event. Getting hyped up even more for the watch now.

Also, I know iOS has been praised for how much faster and stable it is, but since I updated my Series 1 to the new watchOS it’s so much better too. Whole interface is a lot smoother, I’d get regular jumpy animations and dropped frames as well as a second or two for things to react sometimes. Makes me properly excited to see how much better Series 4 will be running the same update. :D

It’s going to be even worse when they start arriving and people are posting about them. I always hate missing launch day for stuff, it’s part of the whole buying experience. :D

Just updated to ‘with delivery courier’. DHL have usually delivered early to me in the past so hoping it’s the same today.

Is anyone trying to get one online from Harvey Norman this morning? Do you just go on their site at 9.30 am and they will go on sale?

As posted in the earlier video, packaging changed. With two separate boxes wrapped with a cardboard sleeve.

The little pouch for the watch is a nice touch.

And this is something new that I haven’t seen before, the power brick included has collapsible pins. Spring loaded as well so the spring in and out. Really cool.

A friend got a Series 3 and she got the collapsible power brick with it and it’s definitely pretty cool. I would have loved one with my Series 3, but I ended up getting mine from the US so obviously got the US adaptor :( (but I did save a big chunk of cash :D)

Just a quick comparison between the 42mm Series 1 Aluminium (Left) and the new 44mm Aluminium (Right). The new back looks really premium compared to the older model.

collapsable power brick debuted with the original Apple watch. it's great for the travel bag.

Well wear DubDJ. I'm going to replace my Series1 also. By the way, Apple have been selling the foldable power adapters for a couple of years. Very handy for travelling without having the prongs sticking out.

I knew I’d seen something about the collapsible charger but I’ve never had one before. Maybe I have and haven’t noticed as I usually don’t touch the accessories in the box.

It’s really not a major difference in size comparing both watches. Can’t comment on the screen as it’s been mostly black while setting up.

probably a mistake..there's no way anyone would be selling the cellular one in a non-supported country.

Some people would want the stainless steel and sapphire crystal display and not too bothered about the cellular aspect but willing to spend more, also it is possible that some provider will pick up the cellular at some stage in the future.

Can you use the apple watch without a phone to listen to Spotify, Audible, podcasts? I'd like to be able to go for a run with just the watch & headphones.

44mm S4 alu arrived this afternoon. Left it to set up over lunch. Still haven't set up my face the way I want it, so it's all default at the moment. Here it is beside my outgoing original series.

Ordered Series 4 watch at 8.14am last Friday from the Irish store to a Dublin address. Delivery 26th Sept to 1st Oct. Still says it's processing and no money taken from card yet.

Hopeful for Friday but looks unlikely!

    Jealous of everyone's new watches.

My order just went to preparing for dispatch and money taken from card. Hopefully I'll get it before next Wednesday.

Walked into CompuB today at about 1pm and got a 44mm black in case anyone doesn’t want to wait for shipping,

They had limited stock but it’ll probably last a bit longer.
