Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I lost a watch in the last few days of extremely sentimental value. It was an old fashioned type grandfather watch with engraving on the back. It has an amber face and a wine strap. At this point I don't know exactly where I lost it but it wasn't on my wrist when I got home. It would have been somewhere between Greystones main street and the Aldi. I know this is an extremely long shot but I thought I would give it a bash.

Any type of info would be great.

    Thanks

My daughters distinctive pink scooter was taken from outside my house in Charlesland Park this evening. Has anyone seen it? It's a three wheel pink scooter with a plastic pink ponies head on the handle bars, very distinctive. Honestly, can't believe someone would actually take it from right outside the house (should have really brought it in!). Any leads would be really appreciated.

Really hoping someone can help me and my daughter out. Thanks.

Thats great. Hopefully its a lesson learned too.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Our cat is missing since yesterday morning (oct 31st). He is grey, tabby, neutered and chipped, but not wearing a collar. His name is Zero and we are very worried as he generally does not venture very far from the house. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    I can't post a photo for some reason :/

A friend of mine has lost a watch. It was lost sometime between Thursday afternoon last and Friday evening. It is a small gold watch with a gold bracelet strap. Any help in finding and returning it to owner would be greatly appreciated. Please PM me if anybody out there has any news.
    Thanks for reading this appeal.

I think she's from the Osteopaths at the junction with Bellevue Rd - she's always running off and being "found"

Well, she ran off from us after attacking out dog, so I hope she's been found again!

Picked up a unique bracelet in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre car park last week.

It may have sentimental value for someone here.

Drop me a PM with the brand, type of clasp and a general idea of what it looks like.. and I'll point you in the right direction to pick it up locally. Cheers.

I'm not bothered with chancers, you either know what it looks like, or you don't. Thanks for looking.

    Hi all,
Lost an iPhone 7 between Dalkey and Greystones last night(Wednesday the 31st of May). Was on the dart. It's silver with a clear soft case. I can't call it as there's no service to it as I'm on holiday here and I don't have international service. Please PM.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I lost my personal phone this evening, left it on top of the car after our swim in the cove and between kids hassling me I forgot to take it off roof and drove home only to realise the phone wasnt with me, now I'm feeling very stupid!!!

If anyone finds it, whatever state it is in, please hand it into Guards ASAP as I've loads of family photos on this phone.

    THANK YOU

Another bike was stolen this weekend gone !!! A 9-year old child's bike for goodness sake !!!

My daughter's bike was taken from the bin area under the Duplex, Charlesland Park. Someone had the audacity to take a 9-year old girl's bike for crying out loud !!! Please be careful with your belongings people, they're thieves at large in this area, which is a real shame. If you happen to see the attached bike around the area (pretty distinctive), please PM me.

Thanks a million, keep safe, sanitised, and segregated.

    Attachment not found.

That is very unfortunate, I’m sorry to hear that.

So many people have video door bells (myself included) you should talk to your neighbors and see if anyone has footage of a person carrying your child’s bike. If so you could share it with the Gardai.

Charlesland has had a lot of burglaries over the last few years.

    No idea.

I know that people were caught “in the act” for burglaries in Kilcoole some time ago. Whether these were the same people that were carrying out burglaries in Charlesland or not I really don’t know.

Nobody around here has a video camera in their doorbell, thanks for your suggestion though. Please be careful and bring your belongings in, if it's any good, they'll take IT !!! Still can't get over them taking a little girls bike...

I can assure you that Nest Hello and Ring video doorbells are very popular in Charlesland.

You just may not have noticed as they are quite discrete. Anoraks like me tend to notice them a bit more :)

Everyone around me has the "standard" doorbell originally fitted with the development, do these doorbells record around the clock? Reported to the Guards, let's see what happens, not a massive loss 8)

do these doorbells record around the clock?

They record and store all “events” (such as a person walking past) over the past 5 to 10 days (depending on the package). These events are recorded in HD and are time and date stamped.

    Hi there

On the Charlesland Face book group someone posted a pic of a girls bike found in bushes.

I have a screenshot of the bike but it's too big to attach!
Maybe you are in the facebook group.
