Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have 3 of them as well (bigger echo in kitchen too), one connected to hifi and all 3 are grouped to play music 'everywhere' or 'downstairs' etc.

Do u need to use a paid service to play music or can I play from you tube

I think you need Premium Spotify. Radio is free.

What’s cheaper, Spotify amazon or tunein?

Don't use a vpn. It works here as normal.

Does the amazon ethernet connector work with this and is it worth it? is it better than wireless ?

Amazon says it does - scroll down to comparison firestick vs firestick 4k vs fire TV cube.

For me, wired's always better than wireless, in terms of both speed and reliability. :)

Took the fire 4k and the amazon ethernet adaptor for 40 pounds ( and another 5e for parcel motel )
Works fine, as expected ; we have old upc router and wireless is not great if more users are hogging on it ; we use ethernet cable for all 'toys' ( and if it starts to buffer the streaming , is one less thing to worry : is it buffering 'cause my wifi is slow, or is the streaming platform under heavy load? )

I was wondering would the Cube not be better for wired connections. Though I might just get the NVidia Shield instead.

The cube is down to £79.99 this morning, from £109.99

What’s the difference between the cube and the firestick anyways?

    Slightly better Performance.

4K fire stick is really all you need.

Don't think the cube is a big enough step up from it to warrant the price.

I think your amazon account needs to be UK. May need to ring help desk if I remember correctly

Does anyone have a problem with their vodaphone internet disconnecting and taking an age to reconnect? It keeps telling me it's "connected with problems". Never had this issue with Virgin. Eventually it just reconnects itself but it's annoying when you want to watch something

Any fire stick deals at the mo?
Amazon only have the 4K version in stock an it’s now 50. Raging I missed to deal earlier

To be fair they were half price for over a week, so I doubt you'll see any price reductions on them at all the rest of this year.

Might get lucky again for Boxing Day deals.

    Hi there,

Can anyone help with same issue as above with prime video - but without changing location to UK. I talked to them and they just told to get the basic stick.

I've tried sideloading the prime video app (using apps2fire app) but it wont install - i think because there's a version of prime video already installed. i cant seem to uninstall the original version.

I also downloaded rte player successfully but when i tried to open it, it wont work with error message - app not associated with amazon account or something like that.

Has anyone come across these issues before, and they have any solution?
    Thanks in advance.

    I had the same problem.

    Install aptoide
    Use aptoide to install prime.
    Sorted.

Theres a working version of the RTE player that works with the firestick on another thread here.

Can I buy these with a retailer in Ireland? Listed with Currys.ie but thought they were geo-restricted?

Only certain apps and certain content is geolocked, they (firesticks) will work in Ireland though.

My experience with the cube is that it didn't work for Amazon Prime content (despite people claiming it did) until I switched it to UK. But that blocks all normal amazon shopping for me. There are workarounds as per earlier in this thread.
