Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great to see Cody's era has crumbled.

Because nothing shows a crumbled empire more than going an entire year without making the All Ireland final.

Were you always this bitter or did you have to work on it?

Some of his posts on the football thread are comical! I wouldn't read too much into them!

I thought we got robbed tbh. No where near good enough, but that should have been a goal all day long.

I'm going for a Waterford win purely on the basis of Buff Egan's predictions, he has got every single prediction wrong all year, including the Minors, unfortunately for Galway he has backed them for the Senior Game so i'll go with the logic that Waterford will prevail and their hoodoo over Galway hurling will hold firm.

Looking at the replay, he was in the square before the ball. Canning's goal was a lot less clear cut.

Yeah it was a square ball for the cork goal, technically so was the Galway one but that was a real borderline .ca,, and very hard on the ref to call it.
Not sure why the cork goal was not a free out straight away though, the ref really his time in making the decision.

One thing I noticed about the minor match was that hand passes were very clearly legal. There were very few ambiguous hand passes compared to the senior games where a fair majority of the hand passing looks like a coin toss between legal and illegal.

Even if the goal was legitimate, (which is still debatable) you cannot say that the rest of the game would follow the same scoring sequence, score for score thereafter to give Cork a one point win. Galway had an extra gear always when required during the second half and probably should have won by 3 or 4 at the end. And that isn't any disrespect to Cork, the galway stamina was just better at the end.

Better team won at end, we will all agree.

Great game also, perfect curtain raiser

Hope this is a cracker. Expect it to be tight and nervy in the first half with all the expectation and history weighing down on the towns but hopeful it opens up in the second half and we get a great contest.

Waterford can't concede a goal early as I'm not sure they are made for chasing the game.

Not the biggest fan of the sweeper system so I would prefer Galway to win it and I think they have the more fire power to donit today. Galway by 4

So much hype going into this game and anticipation

Will it fall flat on its face and be damp squib?

If Waterford can frustrate Galway , they have a great chance

The throw in is scheduled for 3-30pm.

I only had half an eye on it and when they started lining out on screen I thought it must be time for the throw in.

Surprised he went for a Galway win. He seems to be a massive fan of Waterford.

One of the girls standing in front of the Waterford players is very tall. I'm not sure that idea will catch on.

Twas all very awkward having to reach in behind to shake hands with the players. Doubt it'll be done again.

I'm sure it looked a good idea in theory but didn't work in practice.

Galway are heavy favourites but I think the victory over Tipp has been overstated. Waterford by 4.

In a pub beside a TV speaker with Marty Morrisey going on all full speed with the verbal poetics, right into my ear.
