Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I’m feeling overjoyed, my nephew is 9 years old and has special needs. He called me by my name for the first time ever this evening. Christmas has come early and what an amazing gift!

    * It’s not trivial but I wanted to share my happiness :)

Hurray, just returned from a friends place with my new bread maker.:)

It’s an old, sturdy and reliable „Le Caf“ BGB 404. One of the very early models. Just have to find a manual for it. :P

Astonishing what one can transport on the back of a bicycle. As long as the will is there.:D

Had a go with it but only using it as a baking machine for an already self made dough. The recipe was actually for a microwave bread and i had to tweak it a little bit. Instead of sugar i used sweetener, aceto balsamico instead of normal vinegar and baking soda instead of yeast. ;)

Just 50 minutes inclusive the first ten resting the dough and voila, a bread came out.

There is still a lot to improve. But it’s fun and i love it. Friday is shopping time and then i’ll get not only yeast but these ready mixes from Aldi or Lidl as well. Next week my kitchen will be turned into a bakery. :D

Sorry for the lousy pic. Just an old tablet with Android 4.

A loaf with 375gr of flour plus the rest just fits my needs for two days, perfect.:D

When you go to the toilets in work in the morning and you are the one to turn on the lights.
There's the risk of a nasty overnighter floater.
But no risk of a warm toilet seat.

We got my Mam an iPhone for Christmas and gave it to her yesterday so she could be working away at trying to use it. She hasn’t a notion what she’s at. I’m getting random messages all day of gobbeltygook. Latest was a voice note of her saying “Is it any wonder Steve Jobs is in an early grave”

Love the pureness of it all. Iconic soundtrack, no help from computers, three timeless characters. Straight in to my top 5 favourites :)

I wished I brought tea with me to Australia, everywhere I went it was awful!
My brother and his girlfriend are “not really tea drinkers”, those are the scariest kinds of people.

That I have stalwart neighbours and a local shop manager who went out of their way in bad weather y'day to "bring home the bacon" after something that should not have happened did...

Some folk cause disasters; others set it all right and that is a huge huge comfort and "happy" ...

My cats; the interaction between older and new...

    Happy times; happy and safe.

I bought a toy mouse for my cat. As she's 18, it's the only hunting she can do. She goes crazy for about 10 minutes, throwing it up in the air, biting it, but then crashes out for two hours to recharge for the next round.

That could sum up a lot of us. ;)

    Not saying that my job is stressed at this time of year but;

One of my colleagues was watching a work video file on her phone as the broadband is bouncing because of the breeze, her boss interrupted her and as he was walking away told her that her phone was talking to her.

Hysterical laughing and prolonged giggling followed.

How would have thought in a office of 15 ppl that they would have phones that talk!!!

I've been in TA thread once or twice about my manager having loooooooong meetings on Friday evenings. Sometimes over an hour discussing pretty much nothing at all

He was out today so my assistant manager setup the meeting. She made two points, went around the table for everyone to add something if they wish and boom! over in 12 minutes

    Proper order!
