Bit the bullet and purchased the ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Contour. At €40 it's not cheap. If anyone is interested you can save 10% site wide on ZAGG.com using the discount code "10offcart".

    Mine is dispatched today.

Heading to the euros with my S7 Edge and I'm debating whether or not to bring a a spare battery pack. Either a case that fits onto the phone or a portable charger. Any suggestions?

How long are you looking to go between charges?

A portable charger will usually hold more charges but will be bulkier.

If you're talking about t-dimension, I put an order through their standalone website the other day. Haven't received it yet but they confirmed it is shipped from the UK even though they are actually based in Hong Kong.

I'll update when I actually get it. It was a few quid cheaper again through their website.

    Yes that's the one.

I contacted the eBay store and they advised it ships from UK and has a 1 year warranty with themselves.
Would buying directly from the website be better for getting insurance on it rather than on eBay?

    Cheers.

I'd say it's one in the same, i.e. same warranty etc. I just found it cheaper on the website as opposed to the eBay store.

A lanyard loop can be used just as easily for a wrist strap ;)
If I'm using my phone a lot as a camera, say on holidays for example.
I'd like a case that I can a strap to, to offset my inherent tendency to drop stuff! :)

Answering my own question here, but!
If anyone is looking for a case with a lanyard loop for their s7 edge.
I found the Trident Aegis pro case after trawling review sites and xda.
I picked it up on Amazon UK for 18 including parcel motel.

The samsung leather one lets a lot of space arond the edges. I have it on the flat S7 and had no issue with it when using a screen protector similar to the ZAGG one. It's pretty thin all things considered and feels grippy in the hand.

They can be had cheaper on fleabay or Amazon.

The otterbox strada is pretty good. Real leather. Covers all sides. Very protective. And the cover has a magnetic clasp. It also sits on the lip of the case so won't damage your screen (the cover). No kickstand though. Pricey at 50 euro. I suppose you get what you pay for. Carphone warehouse and most shops carry them.

Just an update on T-Dimension. I hadn't received a notification of dispatch form them so I dropped them an email. They are very quick to respond (during Hong Kong office hours) and they supplied me with the tracking number for DPD. It is indeed being shipped directly from the UK according to track and trace on the DPD website. It's due to arrive tomorrow.

So far they have been good to deal with and so I'm fairly confident that they are the real deal and a trustworthy company. I'll update again once I receive the phone.

I used their website directly (https://www.t-dimension.com/uk/). The phone was another €20 or so cheaper than on their eBay store (don't know why??). Their terms and conditions state that prices are exclusive of import charges, but if the item is shipped from the UK surely it has already cleared EU customs??
The price for the goods shall, unless otherwise agreed, be the price set out on the Confirmation E-mail. The price for the goods quoted on the website shall be exclusive of all costs of carriage and insurance and applicable import Tax/VAT/GST and duty which the buyer shall pay in addition. Shipping and insurance costs are calculated at checkout. For some countries, the price for the goods quoted on the website includes an Import Handling Charge and shipping cost. T-Dimension are currently providing free shipping for Australia, United State, United Kingdom and Germany.

From reading some reviews some people have claimed they have had to pay import tax, and that the items were shipped from Hong Kong. I wonder if this UK distribution centre is a new thing for T-Dimension and that the above section is out of date for EU transactions??

Edit: I'm now worried again. I checked the DPD tracking again and it stated something about a tracking number for "E-Star". I googled it and it turns out to be a logistics company from Hong Kong!!

Does anyone know if there does turn out to be a vat charge, can I refuse and have it returned? I would be well within my rights to claim a PayPal refund as I have email proof of t-dimension stating that the item is shipped from the UK and that there would be no further charges.

nah, don't be worried it's like the One Plus when you order in their site. It was originally shipped from Hong Kong but all the import charges will be paid by them when it arrives in their UK Warehouse (the same is happening here with T-dimension). But if you were asked about customs then yeah you can refuse the item. Just keep us updated as to what happens today since it will arrive now. I read reviews about them and there seems to be positive ones. Hope you will enjoy your new phone by the end of the day.

It's due to arrive at lunch time today. Fingers crossed it's ok. I'm a bit more at ease now. The DPD shipping details has the service down as "UK PARCELS", so that's reassuring.

They are ugly and oversized, especially the defender with it crap built in screen protector that lets grit and other rubbish in. Go for the symmetry or strada instead. Much slimmer and still drop tested with good protection.

Finally got home yesterday evening and opened up the phone. It's 100% perfect, 100% original.

Very happy so far. It's a massive step up from my old S4.

plus you got it at a decent price, 500 is just about right (600 is overpriced)

Do you mind me asking where you got it for €500? It's coming up way more than that for me on T Dimension

Speck candy shell if you want something relatively rugged. Brought my otterbox with me on a few days away at the moment thinking it would be handy but it's a dead weight to be carrying about.
