Implying the other person is overly sensitive, the calling card of many a failed ridiculous argument.

Because calling someones genuine response "tripe" is the mark of a master debater,

It seems you opinion of McGregor is far more biased than mine, congrats on proclaiming your self the winner, your a class act.

I never used the word tripe.

He already agreed and wanted it changed, he knew the fight wouldn't go ahead. Have you no issue with the claim RDA pulled out with a splinter?

I'm not familiar with the extent of Dos Anjo's injury and as a result I wouldn't talk about it.

So we can agree Conor didn't pull out of the fight? He was kicked off it? Fair?

The "delicate perception" term was not in response to you.

This question gets right to the butt of the argument

FFS lads...of course Conor would slate someone in his position right now.. that's the sthick.

Also the UFC have made millions off the backs of fighters with very few guys making 'retirement money'.

I hope this gets resolved sooner than later but this was bound to happen with a gsp, silva, chuck type fighter.

In boxing we have far too many organisations but mma is a great example of why we need more than one

Being kicked off a fight for not agreeing to something, is the same thing as pulling out? Really? That's really the argument you're going with?

Seems the same to me. Given the options of promoting the fight and then fighting or not promoting it and not fighting he chose not to fight.

    IMO he pulled out.

    IMO he pulled out.

    That's what she said

    IMO he pulled out.

That's great but your opinion is wrong. Because having an opinion that goes against something that has been factually clarified by both parties.

I can have an opinion that the earth is actually cube shaped but it's wrong.

Can we put it to a poll?

In my opinion Conor engineered his own removal from the card, he basically pulled himself out by refusing to do the promo work. agree to disagree.

RDA's injury was widely reported in mma circles, with photographs and all. He is a great fighter too by the way if you are looking for other fighters to follow, great grappling and striking with beastly cardio.

I'm more than familiar with Dos Anjos, just didn't bother looking up the exact diagnosis of his injury. Once he was out, and Diaz was in, that was it.

Yeh, there's a few of them knocking about.

Once it was a fact that the earth was flat! Also just because CM says something does not make it fact

    I was joking ffs.

Okay, so he broke his foot. So what. Even if his foot fell off, how would pointing that out negate the point which that was trying to make which was that Conor saved the 196 card at short notice and deserves some leeway on that basis. Someone has your back in this world, you should try and have theirs. Remember, Conor didn't chase Nate, Nate chased him and Conor granted him the fight on 11 days notice, to save that UFC card. He could have said 'Naff the Irish fans that have traveled, there's a good chance that Nate could beat me here' and went home but he didn't.

I swear Conor is the anti-Christ to some of you. I wouldn't mind if there was something tangible to back it up with.

Em no it was not. And I'm fully aware that there are 2 sides to every story but when both sides say the same thing I'm inclined to believe it.

Another poll. That is EXACTLY what we need. Make sure to include Atari Jaguar as an option.

I feel that CM overreached a bit on this one. Coming out of a defeat and still thinking he has some influence on who/where/when, the chap has been put back in his box. I hope he learns from this experience and wish him well in the future.

Goin round in circles, now we are discussing what constitutes a fact, McGregor says his refusal to do promo is entirely down to it adversely affecting his training, I don't believe that's the real reason, and that's one person saying something not a fact.

Because its the typical McGregor hyper fan type of post 'RDA the pussy pulled out with a splinter etc' while Conor is laying in Iceland off the biggest UFC card of all time because he has had a crisis of confidence.

Do you genuinely believe Conor refused to do media this week just to get out of the fight? Honest question. Simple yes or no?

I think the largest part of it was the legitimate arguments he put forward, that's how he feels about it. He's not alone in that because you had plenty of fighters supporting him on it. I believe a victory for Conor here would be a victory for UFC fighters overall. It might not get them out of promo duties going forward but it certainly would strengthen their positioning at the bargaining table.

I definitely think part of it was Conor testing his boundaries too though. He's the golden goose and he clearly wants to milk that for all its worth which is fine. Most organisations operate under a meritocracy rather than strict equality anyway.

It's still in the offing how this one is gonna go, although personally I think the 200 replacement has already been sorted, but I don't think the main event of 200 alone will determine whether Conor has won here. If buyrates aren't what they might have been that certainly strengthens Conor's negotiating position going forward. As I've said a few times this will be a situation that will be judged much better in hindsight.

The thing is though, it's not the biggest UFC card of all time. It was supposed to be, but it's in real need of some big additions now. For a showcase event, I'll be wanting to see Jon Jones, Khabib, Dos Anjos, Lawler. Right now it's a bit sh*t IMO and I don't know how much they were planning to enhance it prior to this blowing up.

No, but its clear he knew he was off the card if he refused.

Do you not think that maybe his ego made him think they would bend to his demands?
