Very similar to what I got from my local Vodafone store. Went for the Red Essentials Extra plan for €40pm, and the listed price for the S7 edge was €400. Was pleasantly surprised to be told I only had to pay €300 as I was switching my number from 3. Also got a free Otterbox case, which I was buying anyway and was expecting to pay for. Very happy with the deal.

but as the Samsung store is essentially a Car Phone Warehouse you'd think that they would have the same offers as vodafone ...

Is anyone else unable to open the do not disturb settings? Getting an error message "Unfortunately settings has stopped"

In case anyone is interested the S7 which Eir sell is actually unlocked. 2 of my mates have them, one is running meteor sim and the other vodafone. They went with Eir as they added the S7 to their broadband package for 250 euro. Tariff is 25 euro a month for 6 months and then 40 a month. Free texts, calls, and 10gb month data. The edge was 350 euro.

If you buy the S7 on 3 prepay, is it locked to the network?

Yes, mine was. Even without się card, it would start with 3 logo

Interestingly the Eir s7 has zero logos and is unlocked.
The only bloat is office, one note and one drive, Facebook, instagram, which you can disable but not uninstall.

So about 18 hours on and I'm just not sure...

Yes the better battery life is nice, yes the always on/Glance screen is handy, and I suppose a SD card slot may be useful if I needed the extra local storage .... but it FEELS much smaller than my S6E+ - I was playing a game last night and kept covering the speaker with my fingers and even though there's only 0.2" in the difference, the screen felt far smaller. Maybe it's the lack of cover (on the way) but it feels very slippery too.

I dunno.. I may swap them back and use this one for work. Anyone else come from a larger phone like the S6E+, Note 4 etc and finding it hard to adjust?

Went from a Note 4 to a 6s Plus to a normal flat S7 (the edge wouldn't last long for me without being broken). It took a while to adjust to it - ways to hold it so you don't hit the speaker or back key but now I can honestly say I don't miss the larger screen too much. Then again it also means I'm using the tablet that was just gathering dust otherwise a lot more.

Got the s7 today from the s6.

For some reason, video quality only goes up to 1080p in the quality options but the exact same video on my s6 can go up to 1440p.

    What's the craic here?

Anyone with an S7 flat tried the zaag tempered glass screen protector. 29.99 in carphone warehouse.
Seen 2 people getting them fitted today and they all had this horrible halo.

    http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s7/651475-zagg-glass-t-insane-halo.html

Seems like they really dropped the ball and haven't figured out how to make the edges stick with 2.5d glass.
And zaag are not even listing the glass online anymore. Suppose we will have to wait for their glass countour to come out.

Quick question that I hope some one on here can help me with. Normally you swipe from right to left to move from one "home" screen to the next; well, I don't know how it's happened, but some how that's been reversed on my s7 edge and I now have to scroll left to right to navigate. How do I go about reverting that back to the default setting? Thanks.

Hold down on one of your home screens until you get to edit home screens. On each home screen there will be a little white house at the top. Tap the house on the screen you want as your "home" screen.

You misunderstand me. I know how to set the home screen. It's how to get the navigation from one panel to the next back to the default "left to right" , rather than how it now is (right to left).

*edit* Solved it. Tap and hold on one of the panels, all your panels then appear on screen. I then held on the home screen and dragged it back to the extreme left hand side, beside the "briefing" panel. Thanks anyway.

Samsung.co.uk they have already asked for the same information 3 times. I'm not hopeful I'll get this sorted.

Contact Samsung Ireland and Samsung Mobile on Twitter. They hate faults being reported on social media so they should contact you by the end of the day.

Anyone else have problems with the touch sensitivity on the S7 edge? I find myself inadvertently clicking on links etc while scrolling. Very annoying.

Are they putting you off on the calls and not logging the repair event? By the sounds of it with mine, they seemed to be aware it was an issue so logged straight away.

Did you try online chat support? I've heard it's supposedly decent.

They have logged it, I've spoken to them over the phone and through email. They have asked for pictures of the scratches 3 times and after each time they say thank you someone will be in touch. I've heard nothing in 3 days now.

Just as I post this they email me and are going to pick it up tomorrow. How do I go about backing up the phone? I've only used iPhone in the past.

I did a backup to the Google account and to the Samsung account in the backup and reset settings menu and backed up Nova in its own settings.

I don't even know if I want mine back after a few days on the OnePlus One on Marshmallow. Well, the S7 is worth it for the camera, battery, and fingerprint scanner but all that's telling me is that I should have bought a 6P.

I used samsung smart switch to back up the phone and contacts just like iTunes handy enough. Did Samsung provide a box to put the phone in or did you have to package it yourself for pick up by the courier?

Hi, was thinking of purchasing S7 from Italian Amazon (€679):

    http://www.amazon.it/Samsung-G935-Galaxy-Smartphone-Italia/dp/B01BWVW044?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=A17VFBKHLZRU2U

What are the differences between this Italian version, and something from Ireland?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would love to get this phone folks.

What are best deals some providers are offering?

I'm just finishing up my contract with Eir with S5 - wouldn't mind going on a contract, but just sussing out what people think is the most affordable way to get this beauty!

I've had my phone a week an a bit now. Bought it before I had a case or anything else sorted. My screen protector arrived today. Think my case will be here tomorrow. Can't wait to use it properly.

Is it on the S7 by default? Says it's not compatible with my device (s7 egdge) when I click on the link on android authority.
