Wow, just reading about it now. He was rear ended by a guy driving a hummer, they exchanged words and the guy in the hummer pulled out a gun and killed him Crazy.

    Police statement taken from reddit.
The 34-year-old male victim's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sophie Wright Place when his vehicle was hit in the rear by a Hummer H2. The collision caused the victim's Mercedes G63 SUV to strike the rear of a Chevrolet Impala who was traveling along with the victim. The male victim and the driver of the Hummer exchanged words at which time the driver of the Hummer produced a handgun and shot the male victim multiple times and his 34-year-old wife twice in the right leg. The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The female victim was transported to the local hispotal. The 30-year-old driver of the hummer is in custody and being interviewed by police. The gun used has been recovered.

    That's really sad.

Never knew he retired after the Patriots. Always assumed he was still playing somewhere.

So sad and the showing times of this country. Road rage incidents here are a risk to ones life with people carrying guns these days. Even if you get rear ended you have to be cautious as some people are fooking nuts. So many scumbags out on the road.

    RIP Will Smith

Not going to bring politics into this other than to say this was to be expected. If it happened to an ex Premiership player in England, I'd be completely shocked, my reaction here was "oh really? Huh."

RIP, didn't know much about him off the field but he was a very good player at his peak.

Don't think it shows many signs of the times to be honest, if I recall gum homicides in the US have about halved in the last 20-odd years, thankfully. Still so many more to go, mind which I do agree on; far too much senseless violence all in all.

Very sad indeed, and completely needless, however reports are emerging that this may have been premeditated. Crazy if they turn out to be true.

Will Smith had just been having dinner with one of the offucers that shot and killed the suspects father a decade ago. Maybe just a coincidence?

If that's enough to justify murder then it would honestly make you wonder if all of Americas positives are worth it against its gun nuts

Sign of the times of people carrying guns in cars is what I was getting at. Road rage incidents are going up daily also. I know plenty of people carrying guns in their cars here in mass and they have a carry and conceal license. These same idiots get involved in road rage a lot more knowing they have the gun on them.

The problem with these incidents and guns being pulled out they are not reported unless the trigger is actually pulled and someone is shot and or killed. The so called liberal states have a steady growth in those getting licensed and buying guns. Where as 10-20 years ago it would have been more of a southern thing to do.

Its just not a strong enough word for how stupid he is.

Gordon is living with Johnny Manziel apparently.

How dumb can you be? That's like living with Aaron Hernandez if you're trying to quit murdering.

Stupid rule, but Josh Gordon clearly feels marijuana is more important than football right now.

such a waste of talent, the guy could be a premiere WR talent but is too busy smoking his head off.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Amazing, really. Manziel even if he put the head down from day one could easily have wound up another Jimmy Clausen or what have you, but Josh Gordon was an ODB/Julio Jones level freak. If Manziel had panned out, the difference that those two would have made to the Browns (who do have an underrated defense) would have been massive. Throw in Justin Blackmon and Aaron Hernandez, and you're just a RB short of one of the most spectacularly wasted bunch of talents in such a short timeframe the league might have ever seen.

Its crazy how often the browns remind me to feel sorry for their fanbase.

So Von Miller has Johnny Football's back. He said in an interview that if it was up to him that Manziel would already be on the Bronco's roster.

This is why good players rarely make good managers/coaches.

The PED's must be really going to his head.

Aqib Talib came out with the same, says leadership in the locker room would keep him straight.

If only leadership could make him a good quarterback, they might be on to something!

Maybe they just realised he would be a bit of fun and the side obviously doesn't need a quarterback to win the superbowl:P.

Von Miller loves aggies. He'll go out of his way to praise them, really.

Does it look like he just got out of the driver's seat of that car, putting keys in his pocket?

Saw the real pictures of JPP's hand after the fireworks last year over on Reddit. Genuinely don't know how it wasn't amputated.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/NYGiants/comments/4eiska/gruesome_pics_of_jpps_hand_right_after_the/

The link above is fine, but if you click on the embedded imgur link inside the reddit post, then be warned its damn graphic. NSFW stuff.

The link below, they talk about him getting a new custom glove. They also mentioned the one he had last year, and why he ended up going with the club.

    http://nypost.com/2016/04/12/jpp-gets-custom-glove-after-gnarly-protruding-bone-episode/
At halftime, the glove was off and the massive wrap was back on. Now we know why. In the first half, while wearing the glove, a bone in Pierre-Paul’s right middle finger tore through the skin, according to a story posted Tuesday on SI.com. Doctors had to trim the bone and stitch the finger back up.

My respect for that man has now gone through the roof, to be honest.

Good article here by AJ Tarpley and his decision to retire from the sport aged 23.
